Two Planets are visable under the moon tonight

If anyone is interested go outside tonight because the planets Jupiter and Venus are visable under the moon.

In the countryside or in cities as well? I assume you mean with the naked eye... I would go check the window, but I'm too cosy and warm to get up. :p

For what it's worth, I live in Baltimore and saw them bright and clear as crystal when I left work tonight. Can't see any other stars, but those were impossible to miss....

Yeah, we noticed it after exiting the grocery tonight. Our sky was crisp and clear. The moon and planets were vivid and bright and it seemed as if they were the only objects in the sky. It's an amazing sight.

Now I'm really sad I'm missing out. Bloody British weather AARGH! :-'(

How many nights can we expect the view to last?

Thanks so much! Yeah, I saw both of them. I thought at first it was Mercury and Venus, but Mercury isn't as bright as that star was..so I guess it was Jupiter. :D I took a walk with Mom this evening and we both saw two stars underneath a quarter moon. :)

It was gorgeous! I saw it on the way back from the grocery store. I first thought those were two stars, then I realized that one of them had to be Venus. Turns out the other was is Jupiter. :D

Well in the land downunder we got a smiley face with Venus and Jupiter being eyes and the crescent moon the pearly whites

I saw that last night, it was absolutely stunning! Though I did not realize those were planets--I just thought they were bright stars.
