Trek guest actors in maybe surprising roles

The final episode of 12 O'Clock High, "The Hunters and the Killers" (Jan. 13, 1967) gives us one last Trek guest:

And as we're now at the end, here's one last shout-out to our usually unheralded full-series regular:

Overton passed away only months after this aired. His Wiki page claims that "This Side of Paradise" was his last role, which may or may not have been the case production-wise, but IMDb lists appearances on The Virginian and Bonanza that aired later...the latter, the day before he died.

I just saw Joseph Ruskin playing a genie in the second episode of season two of The Twilight Zone. I picked him straight away by the sound of his voice.

I just popped in my "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World" into my DVD player and for the first time I noticed Madalyn Rhue's name in the credits.
She plays Secretary Schwartz opposite Spencer Tracey's Captain Culpepper.
How many times have I watched this movie and not noticed that until now?

The delicious miss Yvonne Craig was on McHale's Navy this morning, as a Navy nurse who belly-danced at a camp show. W00t!!

Caught an episode of Columbo last night ("Publish or Perish") featuring two TOS vets: Frank Gorshin and Mariette Hartley.

Frank Gorshin isn't in "Publish or Perish," or indeed in any Columbo episode. It does, however, have an uncredited bit role for James B. Sikking (ST III's Captain Styles), as well as Gregory Sierra, who was Entek in DS9: "Second Skin."

My mistake. The guy sure looked like Gorshin, though. I did notice Sikking, and totally spaced when I posted.

I've just looked him up and yes, I know him! Although I always thought he was John Cedar strangely enough! As my old Mum used to say what a strange looking chappie! :ouch:

This is another not surprising Trek actor guest role, William Shatner as the captain of a ship.

Also, France Nuyen as his wife, the Emperor's niece. She's in the gold dress.

I just saw a Charlie's Angels ep, "Angels on Vacation," and there was Lee Delano from "A Piece of the Action" and Ron Soble from "Spectre of the Gun." Ten years made quite a difference in these guys. I didn't even recognize Delano at first, except that he was oddly familiar. He just died last October.

Also appearing: Denny MiIler, who twice played a muscle man on Gilligan's Island, with Ginger and Mary Ann openly lusting for him in "Big Man on a Little Stick." Later he would play a memorable head case in "Black Mirror," the best episode of The Rockford Files. And he played a clone on Battlestar Galactica ("Gun on Ice Planet Zero").

Way back early in this thread I posted a pic from this ep, of Shat and Nuyen together. I imagine a scenario where Kirk and Elaan used the Guardian of Forever to travel back to the old west to settle down together.
