Things that frustrate us all

Darn. My province should take a page from your state. If vapes aren't flavoured, that would probably cause them to lose a lot of their appeal, because without the flavour you're essentially just paying for a more expensive and overly techy cigarette with extra steps.

IIRC, they were working on a national ban in the last parliament. Obviously that died when parliament was prorogued, but maybe it’s something they can pick back up in the future, depending who wins on Monday. (Although admittedly, they will have much bigger fish to fry to start with.)

I just checked, and the proposal was to limit to just three flavours: mint, menthol, or tobacco. I’m not entirely sure what “menthol flavour” is, although I get that it used to be a cigarette flavour. My mind just associates “tobacco flavour” with “cigarette flavour”, which as a non-smoker, just sounds disgusting.

I thought menthol and mint were the same thing.
Either way, those all sound like they'd be really gross to smoke, but then again I can't imagine any flavoured smoking product would actually taste good (not that I know, obviously).

Oh holy shit. I am training new people from India who will soon replace me and I will be out of a job. OK, fine, I accept that. BUT....the people today. Ugh. How are they THIS BAD AT THIS??? I have to write out descriptions about where they went wrong and it's all I can do to NOT put, "Look here, dumbass..." or "how the actual FUCK is any of that RIGHT?!"

*grumble*

If they were going to replace me and I was going to lose my job because of it, I wouldn't train them that well. When they completely screw it up, I would tell them, "good job." After all, what are they going to do about it, fire you? Kind of hard to do if you have been laid off. If they were going to promote you to be their supervisor would be one thing, but if they are doing it to get rid of someone who has more experience and a higher salary, the management that does, doesn't deserve to thrive financially from their short-sighted decision.

I can relate. The company recently hired some new people for the 'Special Orders' department, and every time Paul or I call them to try and track down a tire or a part, I want to yell at them, "Did you even listen to a word that I said? That's not the tire/part I'm looking for." There's been a couple of times where we've been put on hold and been accidentally disconnected and you have call back up and wait in the queue again, all the while there's a customer at the front counter or on the other line waiting for an answer. There's been a couple of times where Paul or I have hung up on a customer service representative because we know who they are and have had bad experiences with then and we call back hoping to get someone else.
