The Wrath of Khan alternative villain?

"Ah, Kirk, my old friend, do you know the Klingon proverb that tells us Ice Cream is a dish that is best served cold? I would like double portions of ice cream for the entire crew."

Garth of izar comes to mind. Wasn't he considered for a time?
Thanks to Alec Peters we'll probably not get a Garth of Izar story. Paramount doesn't like Peters and Peters would be a litigious son-of-a-bitch if they tried, even after the last court case over Axanar.

On what grounds? What hold could he have over Garth? Yeah the character is slightly tainted because of Peters.

Because he's an asshole who will tax their time and patience. I hope they just ignore him and do a Garth story (I would), but they probably aren't in the mood for a headache.

The early draft TWOK version of Khan sounds like it could have worked as just an original character. A charismatic villain leading a rebellion on some Federation world with his psychic abilities. Could have been anybody.
Otherwise, bring back the Gorn. Because that lizard dude looked dope as fuck.

So did Spock.
That's fair. I guess I thought there was a bit of a difference when Gary Mitchell had a mountain fall on him and didn't get back up again. But I guess he was only mostly dead. Maybe he needed that dirt nap for twenty years to get back into fighting shape.
