The Wrath of Khan alternative villain?

Newt

Commodore
Commodore
TWOK is generally universally loved by fans for good reasons.
I believe it was Harve Bennett who chose Khan as he stood out to be great villain whilst researching TOS. And the rest is history.
For a bit of fun who would you pick ,other than Khan, to become the villain of the second feature film?

Think I'd vote for the Female Romulan Commander from the Enterprise Incident.
Was going to say the Gorn Captain, but may be too obvious and would the gorn costume work on the silver screen?

Kor or Koloth. Kang left on good enough terms with Kirk during their encounter in TOS that he really wouldn't have a beef that fans would remember. Kor, on the other hand, could have harbored a 15-year-long resentment over the Organians squashing his hopes to be the military ruler of an entire planet and held Kirk responsible since the Organians were untouchable. They could have set up a subplot about Kor being punished for his failure on Organia and demoted, turning a former decorated space commander and warrior into a disgraced shell of his former self.

Clearly, the only villain who could potentially match Khan is Harry Mudd.
Correct me if I'm wrong he was the only guest star to play the same antagonist character more than once during the shows run?
So that should work in his favour. Just imagine Shatner shouting "Muuuuuuuuuuud!!!!" down the communicator after he does a double cross on the Admiral in said hypothetical movie.

Kang would have been interesting. Like Khan he has people to lose (Mara). Kor and Koloth lack a certain amount of dimension to be effective. The Commander from Enterprise Incident has potential too. With axes to grind for Kirk and Spock. More so Spock in my opinion, though.

The Wrath of Sevrin.

I only half-joke. If the rest of “The Way to Eden” had been as good as this scene, it would have been a good episode:

Hmm, with Severin dead I could see Tong Rad seeking vengeance.
Trek II the Wrath of Rad
"Raaaad!!"
I hate that that weasel got off scott free.

And what of Lazarus.....Star Trek III the Search for Lazarus
"Lazaruuuuus!!"
After falling into the lava McCoy's shinny bandage won't do the trick this time
"I have had enough of you...falling!!!"

For Trek 5 "The Final Mugato"
Out of the hole climbs not a rock creature but the child of the mugatos killed by McCoy and Kirk respectively. Gets blasted by Spock.
Kirk/Spock/McCoy 3...Mugato family 0

Star Trek VI The Undiscovered Shapeshifter
It turns out Martia is actually Garth seeking revenge for Kirk replacing him as the greatest starship captain.
"Gaaaarth? I can't believe I kissed you!!"
"You will address me as "Hot lips Garth!!"

As for Trek 1.....
Star Trek: Nomad the Motion Picture
"Roykirk unit......give me the information."

  • The Wrath of Rojan
  • The Wrath of Shahna (this one would be great)
  • The Wrath of Nomad, who didn't go boom-boom but somehow faked it
  • The Wrath of the Space Amoeba's Twin Brother, George
  • The Wrath of Scalos
  • The Wrath of the Deela (that boot pulling and hair brushing really hinted at a lot)
  • The Wrath of the Joke Shop Puke Piles ("Annihilation Earth II")
  • The Wrath of Dr Lester
  • The Wrath of Parmen (Platonians finding their ship to branch out into the stars and all, even if the episode isn't a fan-favorite...)
  • The Wrath of Lazarus (the duo teamed up...)
  • The Wrath of Gorgon (or maybe not...)
  • The Wrath of Cyrano Jones (teleports a tribble into the main food closet, which in turn precipitated the research into Replicator technology)
  • A Muddy Day Indeed (since "The Wrath of Mudd" really doesn't do it)

Re: The Wrath of Lazarus (the duo teamed up...)

An hour and forty minutes of falls and varying facial hair lengths; my goodness, that would be some film!

The Wrath of Apollo.

I'd thought about that, but he went back into the ether to join his buddies. Sadly, I didn't take it a step further and say "Well, he and his buddies were in the incorporeal village where Charlie X's parents and Trelane's parents and the Metrons and the rest of them are" and really up the ante, hehe! Unless they're part of the Q Continuum, and even that's a better story than the "deserted station in a desert" allusion VOY made.

The Wrath of Harry

That usually gets fixed when going to the clinic, but if treatment-resistant strains of other cooties are becoming more prevalent, then the same would go to those near-microscopic crustaceans that party after prom... :guffaw:

CHEKOV: Kevin!
RILEY: I don't know you. ...But you, ...I never forget a face, Mister ...Chekov. Isn't it? I never thought to see your face again.
TERRELL: Chekov, who is this man?
CHEKOV: My predecessor. Well one of them. We didn't really have a regular navigator till me. It was pretty hit or miss. First it was one guy and then another. Then the first guy would be back...
