The digital variety series launches today, showcasing the passion of the fan community and the latest happenings in the Star Wars galaxy directly from the source. (It also features a pretty cool mouse droid.) Shot at Lucasfilm headquarters in San Francisco, hosts Andi Gutierrez and Peter Townley unveil the latest headlines from a galaxy far, far away and chat with special guests to explore all things Star Wars.

Duncan Jones (director of Warcraft) is the guest of the premiere episode. I really enjoyed Rebels Recon (it was a mandatory followup to every episode), and this sort of continues in that tone.

I watched the show wednesday after the premiere, and I thought it was a fun little show. Since it's under 10 minutes I'll continue watching.

Anton Yelchin makes an appearance. And some UK band I've never heard of before.

Andi sits down with Chewbacca Mom Candace Payne, Matt takes to the streets for the best Chewie impressions, we reveal key art for Star Wars Celebration Europe 2016, throw an epic birthday party, and much more!

I watched it, it was mildly cute, but Rebels Recon is a lot more entertaining and informative.

Different animal. Rebels Recon is shorter, snappier (helped in no small part by the mini 'West Wing' style walk & talk) and narrowly focused on one particular thing.
This show seems to suffer from being so scattershot and paradoxically, a dearth of content. I think they need to play with the format and pacing a bit. Clearly they're still figuring things out.

I'd love to see interviews with important people working on the franchise like the movie directors and Dave Filoni and whatnot.

I imagine a lot of those people are very busy right now.

I'd be happy to see some of the old guard who worked on the original trilogy. Tippett, some of the old ILM guys, maybe even some authors. Both from the EU like Zahn, Stackpole, Alan Dean Foster as well as whoever they have working on the new books & comics.

I'm seeing this as a way to justify Andi Gutierrez continued position until Rebels starts up again. She does a really good job, but in this age, the bean counters don't always look at that, and just "are you doing something now".

The legendary Dennis Muren answers fan questions, the folks at Fantasy Flight Games stop by Lucasfilm and show us their latest games, Star Wars Fan Film Awards news, and much more!

Nice episode. I really liked the interview with Dennis Muren, that was exactly the kind of stuff I was hoping for when I first saw this. I never watched last week's but I was a little surprised when the first couple episodes had interviews with people with no real direct connection to Star Wars.
The anti-Leia add for Bloodline cracked me up.

can't wait for the Rogue One panel.

Lulz, the cast enters.
Like 8 guys and one woman.

I realize her role is a big one but still... cast one woman in an important role and cast men in all other roles?

Still, it's lovely to watch so far!

It's a second SW film in a row with a female role model protagonist. Also, it's a very diverse cast.

Plus, it'll have Mon Mothma.

But yeah, it's still a bit disproportionate.

EDIT: The crowd loves Alan Tudyk.

Yeah, I'm definitely liking the diverse cast! The panel is great so far. :D

But can you imagine it the other way around? One important male role and all other roles played by women? See how weird that seems?

Anyway:
