Yeah, it asks you to think of a sentient PERSON ... a place is not sentient, nor is a thing.

Uhura's earpiece is a thing. It's not a person, nor is it a place.

I agree with OmahaStar. I read it as "sentient person", "place", or "thing." Besides, it was able to guess phasers, tricorders, torpedos, and universal translators, and there were several other objects that it did list as possible answers, none of which are sentient.

The sentient being I had in mind was the Horta... and it's first guess got it right!
Very impressed!

 

[Star Treks]

Not as effective as the regular 20Q yet, it needs work. It guessed Dr. Crusher correctly, but too late; couldn't get Angel 1 in time, either; correctly got Morn; never got a couple of others.

The only time it was wrong for me was when I was thinking Spot, it guessed Porthos, which I guess is close enough

I was actualy amazed that it got the people right
