The National Rugby League - The Finals Thread

Indeed it was a good match. Next weekend

Saturday Night - Titans vs Eels @ ANZ Stadium

Sunday Afternoon - Broncos vs Dragons @ Suncorp Stadium

And my avatar stays around for another week. Time for some dinner.

Bumping ... The Correct details are that the Eels - Titans game is on Friday night, while the Broncos - Dragons game is on Saturday night.

Also, one of my flatmates (who supports Manly), thought that Manly were the minor premiers, as they won their last game. Well that is what he heard on the radio. I think he got minor and defending confused. He does have some problems.

Looking forward to Friday's game - my prediction ... the Eels to win by 12 points.

Only caught the last 20-30 mins of the Eels game, good to see them win.

As for tonight, looks like it isn't going to be my night. I've seen the Wallabies get spanked and the Dragons look like they are going to receive the same.

I just saw the score in the rugby. Don't have that much interest in union, but earlier on tonight was trying to remember where Clinton Schifcofske was now. Helps if I spell his name right, when searching for it. In Ireland now.

Anyways back to the rugby league tonight. Brisbane were just awesome. The Broncos will miss David Taylor next year. Hopefully Melbourne can beat them next week.

And I was very happy last night with the Eels' performance. Yep I'm thinking the Eels are going all the way this year.

Yep he is. He is also a major reason why Mark McLinden (former Raiders player) is now at the QLD Reds

Some news today - Jarryd Hayne officially agreed to be with the Eels until 2014.

Also looking forward to the game tomorrow night. Mortimer and Inu will play for the Eels.

Congrats to Luke Burt on scoring his 100th try for the Eels.

29 minutes left. Dogs 12-10

56 Min - Eels 16-12 - try to Mannah and then convertion goal to Burt

Possible Try to the Eels. Absolutely awesome. Dan Mortimer try as Sterlo says. - Eels 20 - 12. Now 22-12 with the convertion. Less than 10 minutes left.

And the Eels are through to the Grand Final!!! Yeppie!!!!!!!!!!

So do the Storm who smashed the Broncos.

I'll be supporting the Eels when next Sunday comes around.

Also Jarryd Hayne and Matt Keating should be playing if they plea guilty to their charges. Both grade 1.

The Storm also have their Toyota Cup team in that grand final. Gonna be a good day next Sunday.

So tomorrow is the Grand Final. I'm heading to Sydney in the morning for a meetup and then enjoy the game somewhere. Probably at the casino or a city pub.

Also Cayless will play. Go the mighty Eels!!

Storm are up 22-6. Sorry to say this Elim but I think it's gone for your Eels.

Yep, 23-16 to the Storm. Closer than I expected in the end.

Was flipping channels this morning and caught the finals. Tough loss for the Eels, but they fought all the way to the end.

Moimoi is a badass. He could easily play linebacker in American football, and the final try he scored where he carried 4 defenders with him was amazing.

Never watched rugby before so I didn't really know what was going on, but it was entertaining none the less.

He could. It will be interesting to see how he goes next year, as we have signed 2 more props (the position he plays). There is a song about him, which one of the rugby league commentators wrote. It's a few years old, as both Coach Smith and Dennis are gone. Godridden to Dennis.

On the NFL, Roy Jones Jr was at the game as he has fight with Australian boxer, Danny Green, and he thinks that Greg Inglis would make Wide Receiver in the NFL, as he tall and around 110kg. Big and fast.

Hopefully next year, Americans will get to see more Rugby League on Spike, like they did with the Finals series.

The end had to come to the Eels. Winning their last 10 games from 11. Well before the grand final. But Melbourne beat us with their defence in the first half. Yet to see a replay of the game. But as usual there were some bad referee discussions.
