The Many Names of William Shatner

Hi guys:
About 2 years ago I saw a video clip which juxtaposed a whole bunch of shots of William Shatner in different movies and TV shows saying "My name is... James T. Kirk" "My name is... Denny Crane" "My name is..." and so on, but I've been fruitless in trying to find it again. Does anyone know what this clip might be called or how to find it?

I'd be more impressed if they had him say "My name is <scratchy, scratch> Slim Shady" too. ;)

I just saw Shat in a Night Gallery episode from back in the old days.

His muttonchops looked good, but his hairpiece looked like it was made from whatever is created when a goat fucks a guinea pig.

Joe, parted, but never parted

that was from the comedy central roast. It was the intro video.

Two things about that video, one, Heather Locklear in uniform, nice. Two, what film was Shatner in with the bushy moustache and funny hat?
He was Kwai Chang Caine's rival in 3rd season Kung Fu ("A Small Beheading") - playing Brandywine Gage, a sea Captain hired to return our Shaolin hero back to face "consequences" in China. The episode coincidently paired Shatner back up with Francis Nuyen (Elaan Of Troyius) who plays his conflicted partner in crime!! btw, GREAT fight scene at the end with the Shat gettin' totally bitch slapped; up, down and all over town

Some of the greatest names for Shatner characters. Maybe we could make a poll out of this.

"Jack Pilgrim"
"Brandywine Gage"
"Maung Tun"
"Menemsha Faxon"
"Eli Neily"
"Rack Hansen"
"Munro McLean"
"Buck Murdock"

Also of note - in a 1964 episode of Chrysler Theatre, Shatner played a character named "David Vincent" - later to become the name of the E.T.-hunting protagonist of Quinn Martin's The Invaders, played by Roy Thinnes.

That's funny, since Shatner never appeared on Night Gallery. What you may have actually seen was an episode of "The Sixth Sense", a Gary Collins paranormal series which had absolutely nothing to do with The Night Gallery but which was inexplicably bundled into its syndication package.

That would be a great youtube project, something like an expansion of that first part of that video just showing all the bizarre roles Shatner did before Star Trek (or after TOS but before the movies).

Hey, let's not forget Jeff Cable :D

I remember watching that show during its short run. Shatner's character did the Artemus Gordon-in-disguise thing a lot, though I don't remember anything quite as outrageous in appearance as the character he played in his Kung Fu guest spot.

Yep, that was it. It played on an awful channel named Chiller the other day.

Joe, warmer

As do I... back in the "Support Every Trek Actor No Matter What" days. But much more importantly to my fading memory is that I did not remember ever seeing Doug McClure onscreen without being chased by a dinosaur!

Yeah, that did seem to happen a lot.

I think it had already eaten Shatner here.
