Our addictive biyearly game of rapid elimination returns - now with more shows than ever. It's generally a lot of fun, providing a chance to mentally revisit those episodes you may not have thought about in a while. With that in mind, why not play again?

So, here's the game. The basic idea is your standard elimination game. I'll provide a list of the episodes for each season and you need to eliminate your least favourite or the one you deem the 'worst.' Please provide an EXPLANATION for why you are eliminating your choice and be sure to copy and paste the list with your choice removed. Finally, leave at least 2 eliminations by other posters before you eliminate another episode.

No tactical voting! You cannot remove an episode just because you feel it would threaten your preferred episode's chance to win.
Pretty simple. Enjoy! :bolian:

If only every episode afterward, bar one, didn't throw in an excuse to end-run around the problem:

Naturally, Worf assumes the Klingons will do just that as everyone in the room checkboxes off everything in a way that would upset even the inventor of the trope, Mr Rogers.

Here's a lovely dramatic moment:

(At least the music isn't terrible, but that's largely a improvement season-wide!)

Okay, alternate-future Enterprise in "All Good Things" suggests the issue was fixed (with a visual, no dialogue), but DS9 ignored the issue, and Voyager's flappy wing nacelle pylons suggest that resolves the issue forevermore.

And, yup, it was almost a three-way tie. The other two didn't do something so big just to throw it away by next week. Or the week after. Or the movie after. Or the movie after the movie. Etc.

Oh, "Sub Rosa," where do I start? The Witching Hour rip-off? The cringey "sex" scenes? (I lived with my own grandma for years. The thought of getting sexed by someone/thing that had sexed my grandma -- EWWWWWW!) The doctor as the damsel in distress? The hokey dead-grandma-sitting-up bit?

Yeah, not a fan.

It is with a very light heart i eject Thine Own Self. Dull dollop of nothing episode.

Removing Genesis because what the hell was that??? As scientifically nonsensical as TNG can be at times, this episode was too scientifically nonsensical for me.

Taking out "Liaisons".

It just didn't work, despite it being a decent idea.

"Love me!"

That was just so cringeworthy.

Wesley may not have been my favourite character in TNG but he deserved a better send-off than "Journeys". Star Trek, yet again, tramples heavily-footed over Native American culture, Wesley's disillusionment with Starfleet seems to have arrived from nowhere and the Traveller's re-emergence as a member of the settlers seems...odd to say the least.

"Masks" is a real challenge for me to sit through. Conceptually it seems just like the kind of "so bad it's good" that I usually cannot resist, but the execution drains the life from it. Brent Spiner was never worse, and the direction is lethargic and lifeless.

So many of my favorites from this season are the first out! (Except "Force Of Nature" and "Journey's End", I hate those two)

I'm getting rid of "Eye of the Beholder", though nothing much has been lost seeing as it was all just a dream.

"Homeward" is the most fucked up application of the Prime Directive in the entire history of the franchise.

I also enjoy Masks. And yeah Gambit 1 is a lot of nothing, obvious fake death mysteries aren't compelling.

Debating a little but Attached can go. Bland romance story that then just evaporated anyway. There was a hint they might follow through with it in All Good Things but come Generations onward they've just friend zoned each others.

Poor Emergence. I guess we're no longer on the road to Viridian New Vertiform city.

Pre-Emptive Strike is my next pick. I do not consider it a worthy conclusion to Ro's arc. Also there's just something so off about the "you're looking fit Lieutenant" line.
