The Least Disliked Episode 2023: Lower Decks Season 3

Our addictive biyearly game of rapid elimination returns - now with more shows than ever. It's generally a lot of fun, providing a chance to mentally revisit those episodes you may not have thought about in a while. With that in mind, why not play again?

So, here's the game. The basic idea is your standard elimination game. I'll provide a list of the episodes for each season and you need to eliminate your least favourite or the one you deem the 'worst.' Please provide an EXPLANATION for why you are eliminating your choice and be sure to copy and paste the list with your choice removed. Finally, leave at least 2 eliminations by other posters before you eliminate another episode.

No tactical voting! You cannot remove an episode just because you feel it would threaten your preferred episode's chance to win.
Pretty simple. Enjoy! :bolian:

"A Mathematically Perfect Redemption" is a well-crafted episode. But Peanut Hamper is so damn annoying that I still can't enjoy it.

Not Peanut Hamper! ;)

I'm having difficulty choosing as this was a pretty strong season. I'll vote for Trusted Sources, as it's not as memorable to me as the other episodes.

Hard to pick, because this season was just awesome.

Taking out "The Least Dangerous Game".

'Bold Boimler' was fun, but this episode is the weakest of the season.

That episode has the distinction of being the only episode in the entire franchise I turned off and never finished watching. I've seen every episode in the franchise, but I'll pass on "Peanut Hamper"

"A Mathematically Perfect Redemption" is a top Trek classic for me! I've rewatched that into the ground. That, "No Small Parts", "wej Duj", and "First First Contact" are the four Lower Decks that I have seen a billion times each.

"Room For Growth" has some improperly calibrated humor around Ransom's seeming indifference to the imminent death of the away team. Not much to complain about in this lineup.

Minding the Mind's Mines is a fun title and a fun episode. The others are better though.

These are all good episodes.

I can't take out "Hear All, Trust Nothing" because we are at DS9. The finale tied things up nicely and was a good story. The "Crisis Point" sequel was fun AND had great character depth. And the recruitmemt booth was just gold.

"Grounded" is taken out because it is only marginally weaker than the others.

"Hear All, Trust Nothing" is entertaining as hell, and I love all the call-backs -- especially the one to TNG. But the entire Cerritos crew, bar her best friends, done Mariner dirty in this one. They didn't deserve the praise she gave them.

Crisis Point 2: Paradoxus

Damn... I did not want "Hear All, Trust Nothing" to be taken out yet. :(

While the recruitment booth was awesome, I have to take it out because "Crisis Point 2: Paradoxus" added some great depth. It wins the season.
