Luckily, he hasn't tackled the tree in years. But I also put all non-breakable ornaments on the bottom quarter of the tree. I've been around cats all my life, so I just do that instinctively.

Here's a Christmas trick I discovered years ago... if you're using colored mini-lights on trees or bushes or clustered up some other way, get a set of orange Halloween ones and sort of intersperse them in, maybe about 50 orange lights per 200 or so regular ones... it creates a sort of psychological warming effect.

I've been in Reno Nevada all month and trying to do all my Christmas shopping when I'm here so I don't need to ship anything.
I'm looking forward to a quiet Christmas. Like I said I've been traveling so the Thanksgiving time has been kind of stressful. Other than maybe a phone call, I don't really want to be bothered on Christmas. I'm going to church, calling the parents, and watching football/sports that day. I'm looking forward to it.
I love your tree. I think my favorite thing about the Christmas season is seeing all the lights on the houses. It looks so gorgeous.

Found out that one of my sisters isn't coming to my Mom's for Christmas. Of course, it's the sister I actually like. But her kids are coming. Two the three girls are in their 20's, so they can cope w/o their mother for a few days.
