Amazing Race goes HD next year. Apparently there were logistical issues that made filming in HD unwieldy.
I'm happy Kevin and Michael didn't go out because of Michael's difficulties on that final challenge. It's going to be easier for Michael to know that they got eliminated because neither of them read the rules correctly than because of any physical frailty.
As for tonight's episode, it was another good one. I'll just say that teams really need to read their clues.![]()
I always add an extra hour when I TiVo AR, but this time even that wasn't enough. Didn't think that Philly/Indy game would ever end.The delay was an hour and five minutes, so the extra hour on my recording still wasn't enough.![]()
Didn't Kevin say that Michael had spent an hour on the first formation? Yeah, Michael may have contributed equally with Kevin for the boot.I'm happy Kevin and Michael didn't go out because of Michael's difficulties on that final challenge. Well, they did get to the roadblock in 2nd... depending on how long they took there, they might have been able to serve the 1 hour penalty and still be in the race if they had been able to finish up quickly.
So did Nick and Vicki have the easiest after non-elimination leg in the Race? Where was the Speed Bump?

There was no speed bump (note that Phil didn't tell them they would have to do one when he announced it was non-elimination).
Based on what I've heard, there was a huge behind the scenes screw-up with the piano challenge, including judges accidentally saying Nick and Vicki's music answers were wrong when they were in fact right, plus when they abandoned the music challenge for the film challenge they apparently sent the musicians home, so when N&V came back to try the music challenge again they had to get the musicians back (or get alternative ones).
Wow. If that's what happened, that's a pretty big oops. I noticed that they didn't show the starting times of each team at the beginning of this episode- I wonder if that had something to do with the snafu as well.So did Nick and Vicki have the easiest after non-elimination leg in the Race?
