"The Adam Project" just dropped on Netflix, starring Ryan Reynolds, Jennifer Garner, Mark Ruffalo and Zoe Sadana. it's about a guy who goes back in time, meets his younger self and basically goes on an adventure with his younger self to save the world. Some have described the movie as a mix of Spy Kids, Back to the Future and Guardians of the Galaxy. It's very much what you might expect from a Ryan Reynolds project. It has lots of quippy dialogue, fun action scenes and some real nice heart warming moments.

I watched the movie this morning. I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Oh, you mean something like this, which was filmed locally :

But yeah, I've been looking forward to The Adam Project ever since the trailer hit. It seems to take the concept even further.

Saw the trailer today. Might be a good movie for “family dinner” night (we have such divergent schedules these days we have to schedule at least one family eats at the same time and place per week).

Really good fun! Just a great saturday-evening entertainment with some snacks and a beer or two.
Had a great heart to, some great effects, Ryan Reynolds was good in this one! Some of his performances lately have felt a bit dailed in, like Red Notice and Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard (that one really sucked). But things like Free Guy and The Adam Project show how great he is a comedy/action start that can still deliver a heartfelt moment or two.

It was ok and entertaining for a streaming movie with a decent budget.

I liked the banter between him and his younger self and also when the father was introduced, played by Mark Ruffalo ( who is always good). Nearly fell out my chair when they punched each other

I've read a review somewhere that put this into the same category as famous 80s/90s adventure movies in the league of Spielberg and others - i wouldn't go that far but one could spend their time with worse movies ( but also better ones)

Just finished it. A sweet light weight SF adventure with a lot of heart. Reynolds and Ruffalo are in good form. The kid captures Reynolds personality. Looks pretty good for a streamer. Plus it uses one of my favorite songs.

It was OK. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless you just wanted to burn time. I there's something a bit off about netflix action movies. I think under a different studio this would have been better.

Watched it last night with the family. I concur with your take. And I’ve added “mouth mullet” to my vocabulary.
