The 11th Doctor's costume...

I think the best Doctor suits are the ones that, if an everyday city-person ran into him on the street, wouldn't flinch about what he was wearing, until he was gone. Imagine, passing up a uniquely dressed guy, just thinking to yourself, "Hm, he's strange. Oh well." Then you stop, think for a sec, and then go, "Waitaminnit!"

With that being said, the Doctor must always have layers. ALWAYS. That's one thing I like in common with all the Doctors.

Dara O Brien is that you?

I would like the 11th Doctor's outfit to be very distinctive and attention-grabbing myself. I'd like to see him have some sort of color motiff--an open-necked shirt, vest, trousers, boots and occasional frock coat, but perhaps all in one color..."the man in grey", perhaps.

Um... my cover's been blown ...(?)

David Tennant is the tightly wound, rapid fire, urban yuppie Doctor, complete with pin-stripe suit and Tina Fey glasses. Perhaps #11 should be a laid back, out-doorsy type. I'm imagining dark flannel shirts, blue jeans, Timberland boots, and an eccentric assortment of brown & gray jackets and coats depending on the weather.

Personally, I'm hoping the next Doctor is less affable than the last two, particularly the tenth. I'm hoping for a move toward a more early Pertweesque or even Hartnell-like Doctor who is standoffish, proud, and a bit more acid tongued and sharp witted. I'd like him to say, as Pertwee once did, and unashamedly so, "You, sir, a nitwit." So, I think his costume, if he fits that mold, should reflect that.

Well, Eccleston did sometimes call people "stupid apes." And other than the end of "World War III," he was kind of a jerk to Mickey for no reason (other than perhaps jealosy).

I would go with something distinctive, but not outlandish. He probably should have at least one odd thing (like Tom Baker with his scarf or Tennant's sneakers), but the odd thing can't involve question-marks or celery.

I'd make the 11th Doctor a goth. Probably something like Richmond from The IT Crowd.

While that personality type is borderline depressive, it would at least be a contrast to Tennant's hyperactive big kid.
