Terrible movies with awesome soundtracks/scores

Have you seen the 2007 TV series? Enough said!
Never heard of a 2007 series, but according to Wikipedia;
UK science fiction magazine SFX described episode 3 as "possibly the worst episode of anything, ever", and as part of their 200th issue features, they named the series as the worst they had ever reviewed. The New York Post gave the show 0 stars describing it as "a disgrace to the name of the enduring comic-strip-character-turned-movie-and-TV space hero.
Might give this one a skip then!

Also Queen saved Highlander from being a borderline terrible film
That and Sean Connery's delivery of the line 'Its the Quickening!!'

Jerry Goldsmith's score was the only even remotely worthwhile thing about the fifth Trek movie.

Some of James Horner's earlier works come to mind. Battle Beyond the Stars and Krull did not deserve that music.
Williams has a few too with Heartbeeps and 1941 being near the top.

I picked up the DVD when it first came out since it had aired on a channel in a package I didn’t have. I only got about 1/4 of the way through before giving up and that was about 8 years ago. And I haven’t watched it since. I thought it would be closer to the 1950’s “Flash Gordon”, which, even though the effects are cheap (in at least one episode it looked like the set was made with corrugated cardboard in someone’s garage) it was a lot more interesting (it would be nice if someone would Remaster the series into HD, but it’s in the public domain, since some episodes out there barely have an detail left in the prints, so I doubt it).

I love that opening sequence but I've never been totally sold on the song. It feels like it's constantly building to some big musical climax that never quite comes. IMO, Queen did much better movie work a few years later on Highlander, but then, that's also an awesome movie, so outside the purview of this thread.

Star Trek V gets a bum rap, IMO. It's not the best movie in the series by a long shot but it does the best job out of any of them of highlighting the great Kirk/Spock/McCoy triumvirate.
