Starship Troopers 2

God help me... I saw Starship Troopers 2, expecting something worse than the first one, and it was actually a surprisingly watchable film with depth. Not the best acted or written or directed, but an interesting story. Perhaps nothing we haven't seen before, but with some neat twists.

Ooof, I found it much worse... between Neumeier and Verhoven, I think Verhoven was the one who was more restrained and actually tried to be subtle.

The whole chess board metaphor... that still gives me nightmares.

It wasn't a horrible film, I've seen FAR worse movies...

Haven't seen number 2 yet. 3 wasn't bad, it had a decent enough budget to my surprise.

Starship Troopers 2 is a horrible movie, far worse than the original, and even the third one.

^ So true, at least the third one didn't blatantly recycle entire effects sequences from the first movie. The second one was one of the worst pieces of cheap trash I have ever seen.

I have noticed a trend. Those that hate the second movie in comparison to the first inevitably harp on the special effects.
