Stars or warp effect screensaver

I wonder if it's possible to retrieve the previous relevant ssstars.scr file from an older version of Windows you might have on another computer, and pop it into the current Windows/system32 folder?
Lightspeed is my favorite screen saver of this type.
Isn't there a default Windows screen saver with moving stars? And why? Screen savers are beyond useless.

The... star warp screensaver is not installed on any Windows OS after XP. That's um, pretty much it.
there's nothing preventing one from making their own warp streaking animation.
When you come down to it, it IS an animation of sorts.

free 3d programs can easily do streaking warp effect by using particles.
I did it a lot of the times in 3d studio Max.
Of course I haven't tried making it as a screensaver (because I find them pointless, so I just set the screen to turn itself off after some time).

I was surprised when I installed Vista, as it was always my default screensaver, but the one in the star link JustAFriend posted had this:

Which I have installed and is very nice!
