I think it was more a ST:IV callback to Spock in San Francisco.

In plot, maybe Vulcan is more of a Starfleet giveaway than Tellarite seing where Pog was captured?

I thoroughly enjoyed that episode, I think it's best the best of the season thus far. I enjoyed the first season, but I'll admit I was never really in doubt as to where it was headed. I honestly don't know where Chakotay, Dal, or Gwyn's stories will go

I would also like to apologize to the Vulcan girl for thinking A. She was a Romulan and B. She was a narc.
