Star Trek AI art thread

which model is this? It's absolutely nailing that TNG-era look.
That was CivitAi using this Klingon model: https://civitai.com/models/213450/star-trek-races-klingons and these uniforms: https://civitai.com/models/67427/star-trek-tng-uniformscaptains-variant-update

Or its the Flux versions: https://civitai.com/models/686449/star-trek-tng-uniforms-4-variants-flux and https://civitai.com/models/841866/star-trek-klingon-race-flux

Cannot honestly remember and cannot check at the mo.

I hope that—one day—someone will write a book on camera artifacts.

For instance—I was watching a documentary on NASA…and all the screens looked snowy.

Had the camera been a film camera, the screens would look normal.

I am surprised no sci-fi show had the snowy footage representing NASA being jammed by aliens.

Some improvement of imaging

While many are attempting better fidelity, I find digital artifacts intriguing—like this one:

Perfect for a Lovecraft story…

There has been an advancement in computer depictions of iridescent sheens:

I am thinking this will also help capture the look of the TMP era Refit Enterprise’s aztec plates that were later covered in matte spray…perhaps captured in 3D printing?

For displays and games

Clean-up

Sorry, but this video is garbage and illustrates the problem with these AI vids. The ship, as well as the uniforms, are different from scene to scene and the fact that the....people requesting generation (I'm not calling them artists) aren't striving for consistency is just beyond lazy.

As for the future, here's whats going to happen with AI, whether it's images, music, voice work, movies....whatever. There will be so much, you will be buried under a mountain of all of those things and good luck trying to make a name for yourself because there will be thousands of things generated in all of those fields on any given day the easier it gets to do it. There used to be a "crap filter" that allowed the people that were both talented and dedicated to their craft to stand out. AI removes the crap filter so that no one will rise to the top and we'll be bombarded with tsunamis' of images, music, movies, etc.

It's no worse than the low poly art I had to do for games, decades ago. I hated that stuff.

The inconsistency problem will be solved.

These images were done by the same artist (me).

I love seeing the realistic renderings of my characters (even if they sometimes have too many fingers).

I can't tell you how deep and meaningful it is to see the characters looking real, and hear their songs actually working. I've got over 35 tracks for this band now. Do you know how many Diddy parties I'd have to do to make that happen without AI? Well, I'm not doing a single Diddy party, so it would never get made.

I understand some take a dim view of AI images-but there is one segment at this parody site that intrigued me:

Ignore the nonsense and skip to the one minute, thirty-five second mark (1:35) or so.

The AI tried to fill out a 2D film image of the Refit into a 3D digital model.

Now—it is in no way accurate—BUT I would like to see it completed.

On turning images to models

On drawings

This is perhaps the most frightening development of all—

Manipulation of video images as the camera is rolling:

I think all the Holocaust film canisters need a Svarlbard seed vault of their own…about now.

One more reason film must live:

We saw virtual human figures on TITANIC, Eudora improved on the ragdoll look…ON THE AIR had Space Ghost running from a crowd…and the Roger-Roger droids marching had to slightly break step.

And here is the latest advance

Keep your negatives—and have the Corridor Crew on speed dial.

That is all
