ST:III Tractor Beam at Warp??

So, when, if not for Sabotage by Scotty, it seems obvious Capt. Styles Plan was to overtake the Enterprise and forcibly tow her back to Spacedock. Has there ever been an example in Trek of a Ship Engaging a Tractor beam on another WHILE at warp? I don't mean Take the ship in tow and then jump to warp (we've seen that several times) I mean Hit a another ship at warp with your tractor while also at warp, I can't think of an example of the top of my head, and it seems such a maneuver would probably destroy the Enterprise and severely damage (If not also destroy) the Excelsior, Obviously I could have missed something.....It seems like it would be easier to just Beat Kirk to Genesis and be there waiting for him (And Styles would inadvertently become the hero, because he would easily wipe out the BOP with a fully functioning Excelsior, save everyone on the planet, and Starfleet would probably agree to let Bones go to Vulcan to undergo the transfer at that point, because "Hey, we found Spock, and he's ALIVE" , Plus Sarek would call in all his favors at finding out this info.)

In DS9 "Paradise", Dax lassoes a runaway runabout at high warp (supposedly around warp five for these craft) with a standard tractor beam from her own runabout. Nobody gets hurt.

The other runabout didn't exactly resist as it was uncrewed, tho. And unshielded, while shields supposedly help even against Borg supertractors. Kirk might have caused more trouble.

I always though Styles was going to try and grab the Enterprise before she went to warp if he could get into range in time but of course he didn't.

Maybe his plan was to fire on the Enterprise and tractor the burning hulk back to spacedock.

No, he would try to force the Enterprise out of warp somehow (perhaps using some sort of force-enemy-starships-out-of-warp device) and tow it back with tractor beams.

Just thinking about this whole scenario is going to keep me up tonight now.

I always felt like that was his plan as well, to nab them before they went to warp, but Sulu was able to keep them from getting an angle on them by hugging Spacedock just long enough to go to warp, I don't think it was established that tractor beams worked at warp when ST:III was made, (Of course I could be wrong, my knowledge is not encyclopedic) so I'd assume since transwarp is much faster than regular warp and they knew where he was going.....they'd just beat Kirk there and be waiting. Of course that didn't happen thanks to Scotty obviously doing a lot more damage than removing some easily replaced computer parts. He had days to screw that ship up.
