Space Station Stuff

And NOW they are being sued by Wilson Aerospace over SLS tooling:

Hmm…here are a few other tools Boeing executives need:

The Brazen Bull
The Rack
The Alsatian Shoe…

All demonstrations free of charge.
I'm embarassed for Boeing employees at every level. They're are many good people there but the management is utter shit and has been for years. This was only a matter of time, and time has caught up with them. I see more calls for NASA to cancel Starliner. This was a milestone contract and Boeing has not met their end. They are completely justified in cancelling this joke and moving on to another provider. Dreamchaser might be a little delayed but at least they are still meeting milestones (and their delays tie-in to the Vulcan-Centaur issues, anyway. )

Ironically, Dragon---the symbol of American capitalistic spacecraft design---is really more like Vostok in that you just ride in it---everything Wolfe's fictionalized pilots hated in THE RIGHT STUFF.

They wanted controls--and Starliner is very retro in that respect---which might be behind some of the wiring woes.

I don't want it cancelled---even if foolks call it a sunk cost fallacy---in that their guys are trying hard to re-establish lost tribal knowledge Welsh-type cost cutters destroyed----that ideology can only lead to more of the same.

One reason I push Space Based Solar so hard is to buoy up old and new space alike....grow us out of this morass the way B-17s and WWII did.

Here is a space station concept--Crew-Hat
