Sleepy Hollow Season 2 Discussion

^Which would do nothing to encourage Netflix to pick it up. Although Hulu does have a number of original/exclusive shows of its own... none of which I've ever heard discussed outside of Hulu's own promos and site, so they don't seem to get a lot of attention.

I think they used to have it streaming on Netflix. I swear I remember rewatching Season 1 on there before Season 2 started.

I liked how the season ended. I thought that especially with the murdering artist ep (I forget the title) that they were working Katrina into the dynamic. However, I was still left cold by Henry.

The past two episodes removed the two characters that had become problematic, namely Henry and Katrina. The show seemed to have nothing real or original to do with them and I am glad the show runners realized that and killed them. Granted I thought both actors did well with what they were given, but I am glad that the show is back to Irving/Abby/Jenny/Crane fighting the end of times.

So, now that Katrina is gone, I guess headless goes back to his rampaging ways? There is no one left to see his face and want to redeem him. (I am okay with that.)

Now that you mention it, it is kind of surprising we didn't get anything with the the Abraham/Headless story. I think that's one of the only real big threads left hanging right now.

Well, he was in the finale, but as a nameless stuntman. Of course, we didn't get a resolution on Present Day Abraham.

Which suggests to me that getting rid of Katrina was not part of their original plans. Too bad, kind of; I was curious where they were going with the Katrina/Abraham thing.

The writers came out and said that it was impossible to have Abraham back because the actor who plays him was away filming something else.

The flaming heeded rider made of Abraham's head and the Frankenstein styled creation of Ben Franklin hasn't been since his introduction.

They referenced it in the finale, though! :) I actually expected them to whip it out in the past to fight the Headless Horseman.

The finale created a lot of threads that could be explored in a season 3. Benjamin Franklin mentioned that he was surprised there wasn't anyone left to help them which makes me think there are others out there in Sleepy Hollow who know about the apocalypse.

As much as Katrina was disliked Abbie, Ichabod, Jenny and Irving are going to need people versed in magic; maybe Hawley was hired by one of those people Franklin thought weren't around.

Abbie has already done a couple of spells which makes me think she too is a witch someone should be around to teach her magic. She has her Great x? Grandmothers book so she can learn magic.

Also with Henry dead, a new Horseman will be needed to replace him.

And maybe Chief Reyes is a bruja.

I have doubts that someone of Katrina's abilities can be completely counted out. How many threats have we seen over the last 2 years from the netherworld?

I liked Katrina, I wish they would have given her a hero's death instead of the turn evil and have the "accidental" killing. Have her stand in front of Ichabod as either Henry or Headless Horseman was about to kill Ichabod. Then have Mills kill Henry, then have Katrina's Force Ghost meet Henry and move him over to the other side.

I liked Katrina too. She just went all psycho thinking she could bring Henry back to the good side. A little sad actually, since Henry used that desperate hope of hers against her.

I asked Husband, "So, is Benjamin Franklin dead?"

We decided that, while he's dead now, of course, he was not actually beheaded in 1781, and that Katrina and Abbie were returned to 2015 just after they left. Proof? Crane is there in 2015, which means he was NOT called say from the battlefield to deal with Abbie Mills in gaol.

And which means that both 2015!Katrina and 1781!Katrina were present in 1781. This time, we followed only 2015!Katrina, but for Crane to be put into deep freeze, Katrina had to be present (as she was in the premiere).

And 2015!Katrina's promise to never leave Jeremy again came true, as he waited for her and she went with him.

Yeah, basically everything that happened in the past got wiped out. So Franklin was not beheaded and Abbie's laminated ID is not in the Smithsonian. :D

Yes Ben Franklin lives... er, lived, head intact when the spell to undo the original spell undid "all" that Abbie and 2015 Katrina had done in 1781.

As for the 2 Katrina idea, didn't 2015 Katrina "possess" 1781 Katrina at the bedside in the hospital, so technically there was only 1 Katrina walking around during the ep.

If a separate 1781 Katrina found out another Katrina was walking around, she would have gone batsh!tz crazy to find and terminate the false Katrina.
