SFC-FASA Trek RPG: Any fans left?

Ah I loved the Triangle setting. My last game, which was admittedly a CODA game, used the Triangle as a setting. I spent ages redrawing the map and trying to fit it into canon Trek locations.

ADB's Prime Directive is a brill continuation of FASA's efforts (Tholians, Feline Empires, and Gorn oh my).

Just to clarify, PD is not a literal continuation of anything done by FASA, as it is derived from the vision of trek first shown in SFB.

The Triangle was just a fantastic setting. I loved running a game there. One of these days In really must revisit it.

If anyone's interested, here's a section of the redraw I did on the map from the Triangle sourcebook. I still have the full thing somewhere.

Now THATS a right nice little map there Intrepid!

If you locate that full version of it, I would love to see or possibly include it with my site content. Have you re-drawn the other quadrants of the FASA map as well?

Do you have a version of either with TOS-era symbols?

I'll see if I can find the fnished map. I didn't do a TOS styled version, but I could probably revise it. Alas, I didn't tackle any of the other maps.

I did recently do a redraw of the FASA Orion emblem, to use on some combadges I'm working on.

I loved FASA's Old Star Trek Game!

When all of my friends wanted to play D&D i was the geek amongst geeks that always pushed for Trek!

I've still got all of my old FASA books which is most of em, except forthe Orions. I started filling in my collections holes by buying them off EBAY.

I've often seen the Orions source material there too!

I appreciate all of the positive feedback as well as the offers of assistance, guys. It's very encouraging to see.

I believe what I will do first is concentrate on getting the entire SFC/FASA chronology in place as well as a working map of the galaxy on site. Ideally, I would like to see the quadrant and intelligence maps re-drawn for higher res and useability. This will of course require some talent. Any of you feel like doing some 2-D plotting?

Unfortunately, my free time is pretty minimal these days. But if I get a little time and the urge to convert some stuff, I will.

Ok, will the maps take into account the star trek maps?

will the forum over at starfleetnet.com be used in discussions of this project?

I loved the old FASA RPG, and still have most of the books. A lot of them I picked up over the years via eBay. So yeah, I'd certainly be interested in such a site.

Same here! I found, and purchased, many supplements for the original rpg via eBay. I almost have a complete collection and my kids love to play the game. I run a gaming session, or four, every year. Pizza and Trek - always a good combo!

FASA certainly managed to cath the tone of TOS far better than any of the other RPGs did. Their adventure modules were, mostly, of superior quality too.

I am hoping to tackle the SFC/FASA Project sometime after the turn of the New Year and after we have all recovered from the consumption of copious amounts.

Thanks for hanging in there guys.
