Scruffy-looking untitled Han Solo film thread

I love the look of the almost "factory new" Falcon interior. It's helping to carve out new visual space for this movie to occupy.

They've redesigned it, the Force Awakens MF interior was way more accurate

I like Han's wardrobe.

Yeah, same here. I'm glad they didn't go for another black or navy blue vest or jacket with a light-colored shirt underneath. It would have been a little on the ridiculous side for Han Solo to be wearing almost the exact same wardrobe from the day he first lays eyes on Chewie until his death decades later.

Mix up the characters' wardrobes a little. It worked for Padmé and her daughter.

Looks like the Falcon was stripped of parts at one time, either that or Han and Chewie never bothered putting the panels back after doing repairs.

When Han told Luke and Obi-Wan that he'd made a lot of special modifications it looks like he did more than we ever thought!

It's by no means essential, but I'm kinda curious as to what about the Falcon AI we're going to learn. TESB is the only time we've specifically seen her in action (where we learned that she can effectively defend herself, that she's temperamental and sometimes hints that she really's not ready to fly but will follow orders anyway, and that she speaks a strange language). I know it's suggested in SW77 that the nav computer is something special, but I don't know how canonical that is anymore, what with the EU decanonization.

Part of me is interested in how TARDIS-y* or un-TARDIS-y the ship will seem and in how that whole issue will be handled, but I'm not looking for any "problems" to be "fixed." Either way is fine with me!

I want to see where her escape pods are located within the superstructure of the ship in the new canon. We know she had more than one based on the Imperial officer informing Vader that they'd all been jettisoned after the ship escaped from Mos Eisley. The 2008 Hasbro electronic Millennium Falcon and its repack a few years later came with an escape pod accessory that plugged into the body of the ship but probably doesn't look like the actual pod design if we get to see it in this film.

Nah, Donald Glover is perfect, he's spot on.

Saw this on reddit, a fan rendition on how the Falcon could work

Looks so good.
Extrapolated from the OT and TFA on how it would look brand new.

They de-aged it.

So, like the Y-Wing, then.

So Corellain Engineering can make clean looking ships with full paneled interiors, and not just cobbled together ships that are great for tinkering.

A brand new YT-1300 freighter is almost as shiny as a Naboo starship. A holdover from the clean, polished and refined look that accompanied the waning years of the Old Republic and quickly went the way of the Jedi once the long-term moral and cultural decay of the Imperial Era set in.

It is surprising Han didn't have an astro droid on the Falcon for diagnosing problems. He must really hate droids.

The in universe rationale I've read is that the panels make maintenance a pain. At least, with some craft.

Also, another thing I read was that Han likes the "worn" appearance of the Falcon and basically reviews to keep it up.

I'm getting a bit of a Dash Rendar vibe from the speeder scene.

So, Solo and Chewie pulled most of the interior finish panels off the walls to tinker, reroute and rewire.

Makes sense.

I've watched the trailer on a big screen a couple of times - it really looks good.

Han's landspeeder appears to be based, appropriately enough, on an early '60s Ford Falcon. ;)
