RIP GSchnitzer

Oh no! I'm saddened to hear this. I will miss his expert knowledge, kindness and eloquence around the board. This is a big loss for the Trek fan community as a whole. Rest in peace, Greg. :(

:( Well, this is sad news to hear out of the blue like this. I didn't know Greg particularly well beyond our interactions as mods, but I was always impressed by his kindness and evenhanded nature when dealing with issues in his forums. He was always friendly and professional. Condolences on the loss and best wishes to his family and circle of friends both offline and online, and may he rest in peace. Goodbye, Greg,

Holy crap. This is stunning and terrible news. Was he sick? Was this sudden?

RIP Greg. I always enjoyed our interactions.

Best wishes to his family and friends.

He did retire from being the Fan Art mod not long ago, succeeded by M. Perhaps he new he didn't have much time left. Pure speculation on my part, of course. Would make sense if that were the case.

Just want to clarify here. It was Ptrope who resigned from Fan Art.

Greg was still an active moderator here in this forum.

This is terrible news to hear suddenly, a very valued contributor not only to this board but to the fandom as a whole. I will greatly miss reading his balanced, warm and self deprecating contributions to this forum.

Rest in peace.
