Nice, solid episode. Best of all, no one spent half the episode crying uncontrollably because they were frightened by visions of the Hirogen!

One of Voyager's best.

Liked this one a lot two holographic docs with egos have to save an advanced ship, Romulan action, and the first introduction of the hirogen.

You know Voyager references the occupation of Bajor, DS9. and mentions the dominion would it have been much effort for DS9 to repay the favor-say Dax telling Sisko "hey captain they found Janeway."

I know, right? Since DS9 was already on the air.

And tensions with both the Maquis and the Cardassians were present on DS9 when Voyager premiered. They could have had a whole episode of DS9's crew trying to figure out what happened to Voyager and the Maquis ship they were after. They wouldn't have found out the real reason of course and would have been left with more questions than answers. It could have been really tense with the Maquis blaming the Cardassians and the Cardassians blaming the Maquis.

This episode is probably a guilty pleasure episode. I don't like it when Trek does slapstick or gets too silly as a fairly firm rule. Over in DS9, it's often the Ferengi this happens to, here it's usually the Doctor. But like the episode were all the Ferengi band together to rescue Quark's mother, much of which was played for laughs, I do like this episode too.

I like seeing the Romulans. I like Scott Judson from TWOK. I like when Trek gets creative with locations, I like it when they make an effort designing new ships. I like Picardo's performance. I still think Dick goes overboard as he is want to do but it's a good episode all-in-all.

I really like this episode. I thought Andy Dick did a surprisingly good job and enjoyed the bit of humor he brought. I loved his scenes with Robert Picardo

EMH: Stop breathing down my neck.
EMH2: My breathing is merely a simulation.
EMH: So is my neck. Stop it anyway.

A bit of trivia, that line by Robert Picardo is an example of a rare instance when an actor got a line changed in a script.

The Romulans have been curious about Voyager for years!-Reg Barclay Inside Man

I wouldn't have minded an explanation for this or perhaps portraying some random Romulans poking around on DS9 trying to find out what they could only to get caught. They would of course, not give an explanation.
