I can't really argue with that. They weren't horrible, but as the series progressed I found them ever more uninteresting. Except for Troi who I always found irritating as hell. It would have been nice if Troi had left and Guinan took her place. Whoopi has it all over Marina Sirtis in terms of charm and screen presence...and acting

I beg to differ, there were at least 7 interesting regulars/semi-regulars, as opposed to 3 on TOS.
