Power Rangers HQ Appears in Star Trek TNG...

I always thought it was a model to be honest. Thats cool though, and definately a unique building. I loved the Command Center way back when I was a little kid wishing I could be part of the team.

Not so much the borg team though... That wouldn't have been as much fun.

I'd imagine it caused a bit of a stir when in an episode of Power Rangers, the building blew up.

I doubt it. Anyone who knows it's a real building would also be aware that it isn't perched on top of Vasquez Rocks as it was shown to be in Power Rangers. The two locations are 27 miles apart as the crow flies. So they'd know the explosion was faked. And it's not as if it was a very convincing explosion anyway.

The first "Power Rangers" movie filmed here in Sydney, Australia.

They also shot several episodes of the show there in order to fit the actors' shooting schedule. These included a story which sent the Rangers back in time 200 years to when Angel Grove was a colonial American town (which makes it a geographic anomaly, since it was also established as an Old West town in another episode and generally seemed to be in California), and they used an Australian sheep farm as a location. Another was a 3-parter in which the Rangers (and Bulk and Skull) took a class trip to Australia, though most of the 3-parter focused on the villains and on the Rangers in costume so that it could mostly be shot while the main cast was doing the movie. For the same reason, they also did a 2-parter where the Rangers were turned into children. (Not to be confused with the later Alien Rangers sequence where they were turned into children yet again and for a much longer period.)

I just thought you should know how I'm constantly amazed at the amount of knowledge you possess. :)

I remember watching an episode over 10 years ago, I believe it was the Space Rangers. They had a ship named Voyager, which looked more like the Defiant, and it had LCARS. And of course, this being Power Rangers, their Defiant-class Voyager turned into a giant robot.

Luvs it.

^Actually the Defiant-like ship was the Astro Megaship (or simply Mega Ship in the original Japanese series). The Mega Voyager was a different ship/giant robot that came along later in the series.

But yeah, Megaranger/Power Rangers in Space was definitely doing a Trek theme that year, complete with a holodeck. The Super Sentai shows often copy popular franchises, such as Magiranger (Power Rangers Mystic Force) mimicking Harry Potter and last year's Go-onger (this year's Power Rangers RPM) basically emulating Pixar's Cars with its anthropomorphized vehicles.

Dude...or Dudette.. Three things

1. Manage your pictures so they are at a good size so we won't have to scroll left and right.

2. Say the episode's name, not in numbers and timestamps

3. There are better pictures of that building in Descent part one, like when Troi first sees it, instead of a screenshot upclose.

With that out of the way, welcome to the board! Wish you the luck here :bolian:

WereBeagle. Three things

1. Some people's screens are bigger than others, so don't be a d**k about it.

2. You've been given the episode's season, number, and timestamp, so what does it matter so much about the name? Be grateful.

3. Leenix chose to use that picture; it's not up to you to tell him/her to use different pictures.

I found your response to Leenix to be extremely rude, and am not surprised to find that Leenix hasn't posted anything since.

With that out of the way, welcome to the board! Wish you the luck here :bolian:

Yea, I noticed that when ST6 was on TV in 1994, first time I saw it since the theaters, and noticed that building.

I'm glad someone else noticed this. Frankly, I'm surprised Zordon allowed Lore to get away with all those shnanigans.

Just as a note, Vaughn Armstrong also appeared in one episode of Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue.

Also, the actress who played Divatox (Hilary Sheppard Turner) on Power Rangers Turbo also played that really slutty member of the Jack Pack in the DS9 episodes "Statistical Probabilities" & "Chrysalis."

Actually there were 2 Divatoxes. Hilary Sheppard Turner played her in Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie & the 2nd half of Power Rangers Turbo. In the 1st half of Power Rangers Turbo she was played by Carol Hoyt.

So they'd know the explosion was faked. And it's not as if it was a very convincing explosion anyway.

Was anything in Power Rangers convincing?

Catherine Sutherland's undeniable hottness!
