Places where the Lower Decks should visit

Marie Nomad

Lieutenant Junior Grade
Red Shirt
I was wondering any places where you want the USS Cerritos pass by to see what happened after the Enterprise left. There are a few:

The Mariposa colony is one colony that would be interesting. Think about it, in order to save the colony, Polyamory has to be practiced. Multiple wives and husbands from two very different cultures.

Another place would be the two planets where the TNG episode, Symbiosis, happened. Think about it, an entire planet of drug addicts suffering from withdrawal. Could be interesting to see what happens after that.

Anyone have any ideas where the Cerritos can go where we had gone before?

Probably easy to miss, but we actually did get exactly that in the third season episode “Trusted Sources”. Essentially the Onarans really got into fitness after they got off the drugs. :)

As for other places (or, I guess, plot points) to revisit: I'm easy to please in that regard; anything from Deep Space Nine is really cool too see followed up on. ;)

Oh, well, I'm glad that the Onarans are doing great. Good to know. I am not well versed in Lower Decks.

I think that planet where Dr. Bashir ended up where he helped stop a plague. He couldn't cure anyone but he did stop it from spreading to the next generation.

I'm also convinced that the Ornarans are responsible for what happened to the Brekkians.

The Ornarans must have found out what the Brekkians had been doing to them all these years. And they'd want revenge. So they probably tipped off the Breen that Brekka would be a useful target for invasion, in exchange for Ornara being spared.

Wow, well, that's a potential follow up episode.

Sigma Iotia II, also known as Gangsta Planet.
I feel like one of the novels or tech books had an aside about a ship going back to Sigma Iotia II and found a fully functional Starbase because of Enterprise’s visit and McCoy’s communicator.

DS9 almost did that.

It eventually morphed into Trials and Tribble-ations.

I don't think the novelverse ever did anything like that, although one of the comics (The trial of Captain Kirk) sorta did. They did exactly the opposite, though: the Iotians kept McCoy's communicator hidden away for safekeeping and didn't try to re-engineer it.

When Kirk was put on trial - I forget what for - Bela Okmyx came to testify on his behalf. Okmyx also gave Kirk back the communicator.

Veridian III to recover the saucer and the body ;)

Have you seen Season 3 of PIC?

The saucer was eventually recovered. Geordi spent years restoring it. It was eventually put back into service with another secondary hull.

I think Kirk's body was also recovered, and interred at the Starfleet Museum.

Kirk's body is currently being held by Section 31, with the not so subtle implication that they revived him.

Spoiler code isn't necessary since that episode aired more than six months ago.

They are keeping him for when Starfleet needs him. Oooh! Are they trying to make the Shatnerverse canon too?
