People who would make convincing aliens in Trek

Here's a fun question: which actors and other celebrities you could see playing members of one of Trek alien races? We had Iggy Pop as a Vorta, how about some other musicians, athletes, politicians...?

Let's skip the most obvious one - many people have noticed that Obama would make a great Vulcan.

Henry Rollins already has a Cardassian neck, he wouldn't need that much makeup to play one!

Here is another guy with a Cardie neck - Serbian water polo player Danilo Ikodinovic. A few weeks ago as I watched him interviewed on TV, I couldn't help thinking "look at the neck! He'd make a good Cardassian!" :rommie:

Yes, it's one of the signs that I've been watching too much Trek. :cardie:

This is Sally Dexter, a wonderful British TV/theatre actress I like a lot. She has strong features and can be really intense and scary on screen, and I think she could make a great Cardassian or Klingon!

Any other suggestions?

I was watching Law and Order: Criminal Intent last night, part of the revolving cast includes Jeff Goldblum, I thought: ROMULAN !!!

If we had gotten a new cast in the late eighties instead of TNG, I'd have put money on Jeff Goldblum being cast as Spock. And Bruce Willis as Kirk(shudder).

Julianne Nicholson  would also make a great Romulan...

Indeed... in fact she'd be a perfect Romulan or another sexy hot Vulcan... she was in some movie naked for about half the flick... woooweee!!

I watched L&O:CI again last night, it struck me that Jeff Goldblum would also make a great Doctor Who (I know he's American, it could work).

Cant think of anyone off the top of my head, but i can tell you who sucked at playing an alien.....jason alexander in that Voyager ep. He was just "George Costanza in Space!"

This is Wes Studi, he was in "last of the mohecans" if I had my way he would of been Chakotay

He has one of those "wonderful faces", A talanted native-american actor who could play a wide host of charactors. Perfect as a old school Klingon, without all the make-up.

Veronica Vanoza, a european actress who done mostly little stuff.

Great at playing dark charactors. Like her intensity, I'd of had her play B'Elanna Torres.
Or maybe Tasha Yar.

Studi's good, and would have made a good Chakotay.

Funny, though -- I've also thought that Robert Beltran would have been a good choice for the part of Lieutenant Joe Leaphorn, a role which went to Wes Studi in a couple of Mystery! productions of Tony Hillerman stories.

They'd save a few pennies if they hired Bill Bailey to be a Klingon.

LOL So true!

It turns you're even more right than I thought, didn't even know this until I looked up his IMDB trivia page:

An avid Star Trek fan, he named his son (born 2003) after the Star Trek: Deep Space 9 character Dax and often refers to himself as a Klingon. He once claimed during his "Part Troll" tour that his ear-mounted microphone made him resemble "a wizard in a call center" and "a Klingon motivational speaker".

That little freaky looking dude, named Bettlejuice, from the older Howard Stern show on Etv. It wouldn't take too much make up on him either.
