I kind of knew I was in trouble when I saw all of your Denver players and knew that Denver was Playing Oakland last week. But I left too many points on the bench: That's how it goes sometimes.

At least I somehow managed to move from 8th to 5th in my big money league. Wasn't expecting to make the playoffs in that one, but enough teams ahead of me lost, and having the highest total points, I snuck in on the tiebreaker (4 of us were tied at 7-7).
 
Ok cool, did not phrase it quite right, what you going to use your winnings for if you get first place.
 
Damn! I'm probably going to be without my two of my top RBs in the ESPN league this week. Brandon Jacobs is out and it doesn't look like Frank Gore will be playing either. My slim chance of beating coaster just got a whole lot slimmer.
 
I look to be in decent shape in both the ESPN and Yahoo leagues at the moment (don't have the live scores in Yahoo, so can't say for sure, but looks good from checking box scores). :)

Also, sent an email about a trade possibility to one of the MLB keeper teams (cardasian spoonheads, I believe). Looking to take two of my keepers or my "7th" keeper and upgrade one of my 6 slots, so if anyone else has a proposal and wants to take a peek at my roster... (would prefer a keeper-worthy 1B)
 
Wow. I got lucky. My team did not do overly well (including 2 guys who didn't score anything and another 2 who scored 1.1 or less) and I still managed to squeak by Bonz's Brewzers! Nice game!
 
Figures my Yahoo team would come back alive after I was already knocked out contention. Sure could've used those 163.89 points last week. Same thing happened in one of my money league, but at least that league pays out ($25) each week for high score.

I lost in the two leagues where I was still vying for the championship, so no gold trophies for me this year. I wasn't expecting to win in the ESPN league (injuries finally caught up with me), so losing 85-94 was a moral victory of sorts. Guess I'll have to work for that 3rd place trophy instead.

Congrats to KWFC (Scout) and Amish Assasins (coaster) for making it to the finals in the ESPN league. Good luck to both of you!!

The rest of you guys are gonna have to step up your games, I'm sick of going up against Coaster in the finals of all our sports leagues :p

But yeah, thanks Pegs. Football was a bit of a suprise this year, as I was 6th last season, so made some better choices this year and it worked out.

Baseball, on the other hand... Might as well crown me now, it's all over. Especially since Coaster is losing Utley for a big chunk of the season, hurts my biggest competition (as much as I hate to give him the recognition of being my biggest fantasy nemesis :p )
 
^that's what sucks about the football leagues. Important matchups, but only based upon a single game, where a gametime decision, or an injured player in the first quarter can eliminate you from an otherwise stellar season. At least in baseball, you get a full week worth of games (usually 5-6 games per player, on average), and 2 full weeks in the championship, usually ensuring that the better team wins, or at least makes a good showing...
 
^Does Yahoo have an option for that? I'm in another league that's hosted on ESPN, and our playoffs are 2 weeks per matchup. In fact, I just got eliminated in that league because I won last week, but my opponent exoploded yesterday and pulled ahead.

I had also noticed we were meeting in the championship once again. Good luck, sir.

I was really nervous about this week's ESPN game since I knew I would have a few players underperforming. That and last year, after completely dominating the league, I got dumped in the semifinal. It's definitely a lot easier for your season to go in the toilet in the fantasy football playoffs than it is in baseball (though it happens there, too...occasionally). Peg had a few tough breaks and I survived another of our rivalry battles.

That Lombardi division is a bitch! Three of the top teams in the league there, and we were 22-6 vs the other two divisions. The fourth team was last year's champ, too. That's some good fantasy football right there.

Alas, scout, I've been wondering what I was going to do about Utley for next season. I have a few more questions about my roster and the health of some of my main cogs that should be the heart of my team. I'm going to have to make sure I make the right moves to try and keep myself among the top contenders in baseball.
 
I'm not counting myself out by any means, but it's going to be tough for me in this matchup, Coaster. I think I'm one WR away from a really dominant team. I could definitely pull it out, but it's an uphill battle for me. What makes it worse is that I'm playing in 2 other Championship games in Yahoo leagues, and the players I'm counting on in those leagues are filing a lot of roster spots on your team, so...

Either way, I'm headed in the right direction, after being 6th last year.

As for baseball, time to start looking at your rosters. I'm looking to upgrade one of my keeper spots, preferably with a 1B this year, and if there's a team that doesn't think it has 6 legitimate keepers, I'm looking for a 2-1 swap that could help us both. Very few players on my roster are untouchable, so make an offer! I offered Kinsler and Burrell in one trade scenario, but he wanted to keep the guy I was targeting for one more season, so my hunt continues. Hey Coaster, you need a 2B, right? ;)

I have two good players at 1B: Lance Berkman and Justin Morneau. It'll take a lot for me to part with either, though. I don't suppose you're willing to part with Hanley Ramirez?

Since I also needed a monster game out of Westbrook for one of my money leagues, I figured I was safe in jumping the gun a bit.:)

Not so much. A-Rod and Hanley are pretty much the only untouchables on my team (Sizemore is close, but would move him for a premier player) They're both top-10 picks in any draft (#1 and #2 last year), what could you offer that would improve on that? Not much.

Morneau doesn't do anything special for me that can't be picked up in the middle rounds. About a 5-HR improvement over the guys I already have, but at the cost of my best player, who plays a premier position...

Berkman would be of interest in a normal league, but I'm trying to keep my Keepers in the young/on the way UP categories. Someone older or on their way to retirement only gets year-to-year contracts from the Ken Walter Fan Club :)

My initial target was Miggy Cabrera, if that helps narrow it down. And pretty much my roster minus those two (or maybe 3) guys, is available.

Coaster: any interest in moving Teixeira?
