Official TrekBBS Fantasy Baseball thread!

Thanks!

Just noticed that the website has been heavily revamped (but no changes to the app, however).

Still poking around, but it looks like they've dropped a lot of things. Such as team transaction history, trade board, trophies, league history beyond standings (I particularly liked looking at past team set-ups and draft histories), and probably a few other things I'm forgetting at the moment.

Plus, they've removed the ability to add certain stats on the team and player pages, which is especially frustrating because K/9 isn't listed with pitchers (nor K or BB for batters, but that's less of a problem).

Also, the Fantasy Baseball menu bar is missing (i.e. player news, closer chart, player rater, etc.) and you have to go to the Fantasy Baseball page outside of the league to access any of that stuff.

They have removed some of the redundancies on the team page and cleaned up the layout, but I wish they hadn't removed some of these things.

I mostly went that way last year, keeping only Sale and Machado. It worked out pretty well, I think. ;)

Well, that draft was trash for me. Kept seeing players I was about to draft get picked by autodraft. Bleah.

Also, apparently the system is retroactively counting any stats from the two A's/Mariners games in Tokyo...which just happened to benefit my team.

I missed the draft because I was at the ER with a dear friend of mine, and woof.

Damn, I'm sorry. I hope your friend is okay!

Yeah, she's okay, just has a bad kidney infection. They sent her home with a bucketload of antibiotics and is on the mend. I just know, from first-hand experience, that being in the ER sucks enough as it is, and so nobody should have to go through it alone.

But, still, woof. My bench roster is 31 flavors of hell.

Hey, who is The Admirals? We haven't seen any movement from him/her this season. Didn't keep any players, wasn't at the draft, and hasn't done any roster movements during the opening series despite having four players on the DL (I refuse to say IL!).

Anyone interested in taking over? Looking like The Admirals have abandoned their team, so unless they speak up, I'd say we're looking for fresh blood.

Did ESPN remove the trading block feature? I can't find it and I have some surplus in some positions and some needs in others.

They did. So now you need to individually contact members in order to initiate trade negotiations.

They removed a lot of useful features. Batter versus pitcher comparisons in line-ups, transaction histories for each team, K/9 in stats, the ability to add and remove stats either in line-ups or on the free agents page, the preview in the player search bar that indicates what fantasy team they're on if owned, the player search bar on the team page, and probably a couple of others I've forgotten. Their overhaul of the system is quite frustrating.

Well I'm looking for pitching and have some parts to move, so if anyone is interested, check out Cookstown.
