Totinos-Pizza-Rolls-Snacks. I eat a bag of them a week. Vital thinking fuel for my creative process. Yeah not exactly health food I know but without them I cannot get my engineering mojo operating.

Anyway, I was discussing this with a coworker and he likes 'em too, but he dips them in RANCH DRESSING. :wtf: That's... unholy. To me it'd be like dipping a hot-dog in a glass of fine wine or frosting a chocolate cake with mustard. Yikes.

Upon research, I find OTHER PEOPLE dip pizza-rolls in OTHER SUBSTANCES. As I said I find this unholy to the extreme, they are supposed to be eaten naked (no not THAT naked), that is without sauce.

So what is the opinion of the forum at large?

Not health food, but tasty. I don't use dipping sauce. The dipping sauce for pizza and snack food thing came into vogue after my childhood, so on some level, dipping sauce for pizza rolls feels unnatural. When I think of pizza rolls though, I think of the mini egg rolls they had when I was a kid. Can't find those anymore. I miss them.

Not exactly a favorite of mine, but I've had them from time to time. Probably dipped em in ranch at some point or another.

I'm more of a blue cheese dressing fan myself.

I'm a purist, so I don't dip. I like the crunch of the crust and the goodness that follows. Dipping would make the things too goopy for my tastes.

Local supermarket has 'em.

Geez, I haven't had pizza rolls since maybe 1995 and I never dipped them. However, if I'm eating mediocre pizza (i.e. Dominos, Pizza Hut or something similar) I will dip it in either ranch or blue cheese dressing.

You mean the pizza rolls with ground pork and cabbage inside? Damn.

Store-brand miniture egg-rolls (about 3" long, inch in diameter) full of "meat" and "cabbage..." 40 to a bag, comes with a wee container of "dipping sauce" that tastes like strong soy-sauce and salt.

Ah. When I was a kid, they made this odd variation of pizza rolls and called them "mini egg rolls."

I think I've had what you're talking about. Not bad at all. My store has those and any number of potstickers and shumai.

There is a taco/"Mexican" flavor pizza-roll concoction out there but the two chains in this area don't carry it. I have to go two counties over to an IGA to get 'em.

when I was a kid we had a 90 gallon tank with a few Koi and a plecostomus
just felt like sharing that :)

when I used to get pizza rolls I preferred the Combination or Pepperoni to the 4 Cheese variety
I had a funny way of eating them too . . . I'd bite the end off and suck the filling out, then eat the rest of it

The pleco is the centerpiece of both my fish-tanks, dunno why but they are just darn cool fish.

I get the combination variety (of pizza roll not plecostomus), they have the pepperoni ones but not the cheese ones around here.

We had a thread recently where we discussed the [disgusting] habit of people dipping anything and everything they can, including pizza, into ranch.

I don't get the practice. The idea of it makes me spew. Pizza Rolls are good enough all on their own.

Ranch belongs on chicken and lettuce.

Pizza Rolls are holy ground and we dare not tread it with sauce in hand.
