Oddest Use of the Enterprise in the Art World?

Just today I was at the Palace of the Legion of Honor in San Francisco, and one of the works on display is a 4x3 foot piece called "1968" by Edgar Arceneaux. It features the scene of MLK Jr's assasination at lower right, with various bystanders pointing, and faintly in the upper left is the Enterprise!

The artwork in question.

You can barely see the Enterprise in the top left of the upper picture.

Anyone else seen the ship in non-commercial art?

Ah, Big-E...we see you everywhere.

I've stared at that pic for quite a while and the best I can see is a squiggle, no Enterprise. ?????

Must be ya have to see it in person to get the full effect.

Either that or my monitor isn't good enough to let me see it.

I guess I see something below the "C" in the artists name.
(top pic just below the titles)

I'm assuming that that tiny squiggle is the "E".

I do see something. Can't say for sure it's the Enterprise though.

Wait, I'll get out my magnifying glass...

Oh, it's the Enterprise all right... I saw it from 6 feet away "live". It's kinda a weird cross between the TOS and TMP versions.

You just gave away the plot of the next movie. Its another time travel story with a working title of Star Trek:Back to 1968, One More Time

More like the Phase II Enterprise design then? I do see something faint, but certainly no details.

I can't see it, darn it -- and I have a big screen :(

Which? The Enterprise or DS9Sega's avatar? Save the picture of the Enterprise, open in an image editing programme and zoom in, you can see a small grainy Enterprise.

Ive even tried messing with it in photoshop, but still cant get it to show.

It is there, i can see now i know its there, its very faint, unfortunate there is no scan/photo of the section on any web page, been googling for the past 10 minutes, im very bored.

This was one of my favorites...from the day the warp nacelles were heavily venting plasma and the shuttle bay was on fire. ;)

There's a huge space mural in the permanent Space exhibit at Sydney's Powerhouse Museum. They commissioned a well-known Aussie science fiction fan and SF novel cover artist (Nick Stathopoulos) to design and aitbrush it (about 20 years ago) and he hid a tiny USS Enterprise in it.
