Yeah, from a performance standpoint, I thought the Black Eyed Peas, Usher and Slash all did just fine, it was just whoever was in charge of the audio that screwed up.

I'm actually shocked Glee didn't do halftime.

At least Fox didn't require the Packers to put Glee cast members on their roster and the Steelers to put American Idol contestants on their roster.

I was thinking they should have Simon Cowell come out and immediately judge the anthem singer next year as incentive to get it right.

I felt for her because I always get that section mixed up as well. I didn't actually notice the flub because I was so distracted by her screeching. I'm not quite sure why they chose her

Yeah, that was my thought. I thought it was a bad performance, but not because of mistaken lyrics. I didn't find out about those until I read it here.

I didn't even realize she messed up the words until it blew up on twitter. It was just the overall performance that was loud, screeching and kind of annoying.

It's my understanding these people were allowed to wander around the stadium, they just didn't have a seat.

It's my understanding they were ushered into a basement where they could watch it on "tv".


If it's your team, a once in a lifetime opportunity for a family experience, there really is no compensation. (unless maybe the packers and steelers are in the superbowl next year and no one in your family/friends has died or can no longer attend for whatever reason)

Mike Heimerdinger, the Tennessee Titans' offensive coordinator who was the other finalist for the head coaching job and is also battling cancer, was handed his walking papers by Mike Munchak today.

Ouch.

Seems like Munchak is doing something of a clean sweep and trying to establish his own identity. Titans have now got 8 coaching positions to fill (OC, DC, DL, OL, QB, RB, and... 2 others).

The report indicated Heimerdinger and Munchak respect each other but Munch wants something new. Obviously it sucks to be fired; I'm sure Dinger will land on his feet. The prognosis for his recovery is really good.

For those interested in the NFL's plans to make it up to the 400+ fans who ended up without seats, the NFL has improved on their offer: Said fans can now choose WHICH future Super Bowl to attend, along with round trip airfare and lodging.
