If our goal is terrible Trek, that's a very good start.

This thread will never be relevant. Bring on the TITS!!
Who is Seth McFarland? The day that Seth McFarland creates a Star Trek series, is the day that Star Trek hits an all-time low.

Yeah, right.Usually there is something right after terrible - great again. Darkest before the dawn. TNG to me was like James Cagney crying for mercy in the electric chair in 'Angels with Dirty Faces' to turn the young kids away from crime. I honestly thought Rodenberry was being deliberately bad to ween people off of Trek - and still do.

What about ENT?
I think you should know, though, that when Dennis says he speaks for 'everybody here' he's just referring to himself.
Usually, that's true. This time. he does speak for the rest of us.
The fact is that everybody hasn't gotten here yet.
If they did, they'd likely have the same reaction. But I think the word 'yet' is unnecessary. Don't flatter yourself. Not everyone will read this thread.
I don't think they do. ( Well the last part, maybe)See, this is why we have a problem.
You guys do realize that people from CBS do cruise this board? And if they are trying to find out what kind of Star Trek to make (based on our postings) they won't have a clue because there is too much horsing around.
And yes, the do listen to us because they know we are the one group who will definately spend our money buying products related to the series. And they want our money.
If you've got something that will help, by all means post it. If not, go make a hot cup of tea and watch a few re-runs, okay????

I find it very, very unlikely that a) television producers are going to trawl TBBS for ideas and b) the reason why we don't have a new Trek series is that we're goofing off too much in this thread.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think it works that way. From what I've read about the topic, we don't have a Trek series on TV because a) the head of the network isn't into scifi and b) scifi's much more expensive to produce than shows that make a lot more money for the network.
