Anybody taking bets on how long it will take before we really do see some lameass Sci-Fi Channel movie about this? It was, what, six months after the bird flu scare broke before we saw the first flick?

I watched the first episode of the show about 6 months ago. It is without a doubt one of the most depressing things I've ever seen on TV.
Actually that was a remake of a 1970s TV show...
I know--hence my "at least twice" comment. I actually had no clue it was a remake of a 1970's show until reading that Wiki entry.
One of these days I'll get around to watching the rest of the series, if only to see Max Beesley inevitably throw down with someone. The guy looks like he's ready to pick a fight in every role I've seen him in, including Hotel Babylon in which he was the manager of a high-end boutique hotel...
