New Charlie Brooker Show on C4

I don't think I'd fit in that well with the rest of Kyle's audience, I don't have a tracksuit.

As we were leaving we had to walk past his studio while they were still filming and I could hear some people shouting and a crowd cheering. Frankly, I preferred watching Jeremy Paxman swearing after messing up his lines, much more fun. :)

I hope you mean per series/season, 'cos even then it's not strictly true.

Well, yeah, I was generalizing. But I mean, there's no reason why Have I Got News For You can only run for 8 episode chunks... especially when the Australian version of the show is now on episode 28.

Quality, not quantity.

Well, The Daily Show can go all year round and can be relevant while still entertaining.

I'm sure it does, but that doesn't mean the same thing will work here. We have shorter seasons, but our shows tend to be more refined, and contain less filler, or hit-and-miss material, than many US shows.
Not to mention the fact that our shows tend to recieve lower budgets than US ones. They usually put that budget to good use by making, say, six great episodes of something, rather than 12 mediocre ones.

Then there's the fact that the stars of these shows often have other commitments/projects on the go, and don't often want to get tied down or restricted by commiting to a show that may run indefinitely.

Well, I'm just saying that a current affairs show could run more often and still take breaks. I don't need 52 episodes of QI a year, but a show that's supposed to be following what's going on could be on a little more often.

It's sort of like how Newswipe followed the news... but only for 5 weeks.

Danny Dyer is quitting TV because Charlie and Frankie ripped the piss out of him on YHBW?

That's just funny as hell.

Good show this week. Looking forward to seeing David Mitchell and Ben Miller on next week.

I had to laugh at that on twitter when I heard it (terribly modern, so I hear).

That alone should earn the show a second series.

If People are quiting TV because of Charlie Brooker can he do a whole show just about ITV:devil:

Just watched this weeks show and it was brilliant.

Frankie boyle with his beard, Germaine greer almost showing us her beard while sitting with her leg almost up round her neck and frank skinner beardless.

So another great beard filled episode.

Too bad, I would like to go back and watch the old ones.

The baby mind reader was genius.
