NBA Season - 2013-2014

If Wade "sacrifices" and takes less, because Bosh is sure to do so, then the extra money would buy some better pieces to assemble an actual team, and Lebron is likely back. If not, I think he takes his cue, hopefully not in another Hollywood wannabe production.

As for Phoenix, the two-guard tandem makes that problematical, as Lebron wants the ball in his hands most of the time... don't you think?

Wade is due $20M next season and $22M the season after that. In his current shape, why would he give that up?

Yes, plus his injuries and age make it more likely he will re-sign with Miami, as I think someone has already mentioned.

Something else to consider concerning the Heat; Riley is intent on keeping their core together. With that in mind, it is hard for me to see him and Arison letting any of the big 3 walk.

Maybe Wade will negotiate with the Heat to opt out in exchange for a longer contract. Instead of $42M over two years, say $60M over four. The lower average salary would leave the Heat with more funds available in the near term to put players around the Big Three and increase their chances of another championship.

Philly is desperate for Wiggins and would be happy for Parker. Their nightmare right now is not having either. They can't go for Embiid. They have Noel now and just got out of the failure of the Bynum gamble. They can't take a risk on having two injury-prone big men on their roster.

I'm still holding out hope that they could tempt Cleveland with the 3 pick and Thad Young, but that seems unlikely if Embiid is as big a gamble for Cleveland as people are thinking, but, if Cleveland otherwise had wanted him, would be smart for them (since it would have been likely he'd be there at 3 so they'd get a free player out of it). But if Embiid is likely there in the teens, it's clearly a stupid trade, so it won't happen.
Dude, I just read the third recent mock draft that has the Sixers taking Embiid (assuming he falls to them). That doesn't seem possible, but unless these 3 guys, the latest of which is Mike Breshnahan of the L.A. Times, are completely out to lunch, and they could very well be, the Sixers may be set to roll the dice.

They might. The injury completely changed the picture and made the price for the other two possibly too high. If Nerlens Noel can play power forward, it's a possibility. But I would have figured the Sixers wanted to make an impact right away and Embiid is obviously sidelined. Sixers fans are anxious for signs of improvement.

There was a satellite delay :p

He hadn't even seen his name called when they cut to him.

Milwaukee Bucks send two draft picks to the Nets in exchange for Jason Kidd.

Way to spend two picks on a coach who doesn't want to coach and would have been fired by the Nets anyway after his failed putsch.
