Regional sports networks no longer being money makers continues. Comcast is bumping the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (Orioles, Nationals) to a more expensive tier of channels that significantly less subscribers are willing to pay for. Comcast had already done this to ROOT Sports Northwest (Mariners, Kraken, Trail Blazers).

I think this is an issue baseball has to figure out before ever dreaming about expansion.

Gerrit Cole has been shut down and is having further exams done on his elbow. Stick a fork in him for the season, that's screaming Tommy John surgery.

Follow-up on that: Cole has elected for rest and rehab, hopefully missing no more than twelve weeks. What will inevitably happen is he'll come back and pitch once or twice, and then say, "hey, my elbow still hurts," and they'll put him in the tube again and go, oh, hey, found the tear this time.

The only time I can recall that ever working out for a pitcher was Masahiro Tanaka a while back, and even he had a noticeable drop in velocity and movement after coming back from the rehab.

Ironic that it's the Yankees who are doing a Seinfeld theme night, given that Jerry is a Mets fan...

That was something that evolved. They all ended up Yankees' fans (except Elaine) and George Costanza worked for them as assistant to the traveling secretary.

Giants sign Blake Snell for two years, $62 million, with an opt out after one season. Significantly shorter and less than the six years, $150 million the Yankees allegedly offered. Good job, Boras.

If it weren't for some issues (JD Davis treatment, firing the PA Announcer) the Giants would have had a great offseason.

So.....is Ohtani throwing games? that whole story stinks and the interpreter sounds like a fall guy.
