There were definitely some strange bounces in that game.
Like Snyder's triple for example....

I don`t think so. Leaving out the fact that they just lost 2 outta 3 to the Mets, they have Philly, Chicago, Col, and Det the next couple of days. I`m willing to say that lose more games then they win.
After watching the replay of todays game on MLB.Tv I have to say that the D-Backs announcers suck and it is really difficult synching up the tv and the audio feed from WFAN. Why must the radio go faster. It was also fun listening to the call from WFAN on Synders wierd bounce. It`s also nice to see the Mets finally win a close game instead of choking.
P.S. Mr. Met is the best mascot in the biz, Mr. D-Back announcer and the Phantic.
Yes they lost 2 of three to the Mets, and thats the first series they have lost since the opener! Im sorry, I just feel that they have the pitching and the offense to be THE dominant team in the NL. Hell, I also think the Phillies will win the east, but thats just me.

The only other mascot that comes anywhere near Mr. Met and the Phantic is The Suns Gorilla. Every other mascot is trash.
P.S. Every time the Mets are in Philly, I pray that a foul ball smacks the Phantic in the ass. Too bad, it hasn`t happened.

So, you just finished a rant about how Wally the Green Monster sucks, but then ended it by saying you didn't know what he looks like?

As a Massachusetts native transplanted to Philly, I have a soft spot for the Phillies, they aren't THAT bad...
That softness ends when they play the Red Sox this spring, got my tickets already, and I hope the Sox chew them up and spit them out, and show them what a real baseball team plays like.

I wish they split the IL schedule up a little bit more. They blow their entire load with it all at once.
Maybe have it each weekend set over the course of a few weekends, or spread it out over the season with the occasional IL matchup now and then.

Yeah, I wish the Interleague schedule was more integrated with the overall season. I understand why they made a big deal out of it when they first started, but now it should be more spread out.
You know, until Montreal moved to DC, the Phillies played the Orioles. That always seemed like a nice fit. Phillies fans would drive down to Camden Yards and dominate the crowd. Once the Nationals started, it made sense to have them play the Orioles, since they are both Maryland-area teams. That meant the Phils needed a new team to play and it seems like the Red Sox are now that team (I can't remember how often they've played them, but it seems like it could be every year now).
I used to have a soft-spot for the Red Sox. I identified with them because they are also from an old east coast city, have a hatred for a New York baseball team, and seemed to have a curse over the city that made it impossible to win championships. Plus my family is from Boston, so rooting for the Sox would give me something in common with my cousins.
However, when they play the Phillies, I'm taking the exact opposite approach. I hope Boston gets crushed
And in other news, a Yankees fan runs down a Red Sox fan with her car and is charged with murder.
I'm now waiting for any Boston-hating mods to come out of the woodwork and explain why the guy deserved it.

Depressing. I can't get your link to work, Tim M but I saw the story in the NY Post. First of all, I was surprised a woman would go into a Sox bar and get boozed up with Yankee haters. I'd guess her lawyer is going to argue that she panicked and didn't mean to kill the guy, but it sounds like she was in an alcoholic rage and trying to run the group down. I mean ???
I'm so sick of fans who take it too far like the idiots who throw batteries at the outfielders, start obscene chants and generally behave as if their whole lives depend on a baseball (or other sport) team.

The Phanatic is the best mascot - not just in baseball, but in all sports! He was even on Colbert! Of course, someone will point out that so was Mr. Met. But I don't think Boston's mascot is cool enough to score an invite.
