Missing 32" Enterprise finally found...

Polar Lights really needs to put out a kit of this.
I understand that there are differences (not as well as some do) but I'm not sure they are significantly different enough to warrant a separate kit. Especially since there are bound to be inaccuracies which would take it FURTHER from the 3 foot model AND the 11 foot model.

Did anyone ever say that they wished that there was a super accurate kit of the 4 foot Galaxy class?

MHO of course.

I suppose the argument in favor is that you could actually make a 1:1 kit of the model.

The main difference with the 33 incher is the differing contours of the primary saucer. As such perhaps an alternate saucer could be offered for Polar Lights’ small TOS E kit. This is actually something that could be offered by some third party.

Since they are taking scans of the model. I have a feeling we will indeed eventually get a kit and maybe even a toy based on the model. I would buy it without hesitation....lol

Is there any indication that it was these guys that tried to clean it up?

Who else?? It looked recently cleaned up. If it were years ago those smudges would not look so white. Also that bottle of pine-sol on the floor in the eBay pic is a major clue. Lol These guys were not Trek fans, had zero clue what they had. The problem with pine-sol is that you cannot leave it on wood to long.

Anyhow it looked like a bad haphazard attempt that didn't work out well for them so they stopped and then stuck it up on eBay smudges and all.

All theory of course. Lol But I would bet it's pretty close to what happened.

Shaw’s version was had lengthened nacelles and such.

Trying to imagine ANYone associated with Star Trek would “forget” who they gave the Enterprise in question to…
