I know I'm late, but in Charleston, the cardinals never leave.^^ it's been decades I last saw a cardinalBirds get less and less in Bavaria because all the insects get poisoned (by farmers using herbcides and insecticides). In the last 30 years the number of insects decreades by 76% (mark: by, not to 76%!) It's a catastrophy and hardly anyone takes notice. In another decade the consequences for the whole ecosystem will be horrible.
