I'd put hard money on it. It's how you get X-Men.Makes me wonder if they will pull a Crisis On Infinite Earth and smoosh not only worlds but timelines together and the FF will be part of the New Sacred Timeline.
And it's long been the rumor.

You wake up one morning and find the FF and X-men have always been part of the MCU.How would smooshing timelines even work?

I get the feeling that the movie will end with their Earth and possibly entire universe destroyed, this is what forces them to go to the MCU.
Less a time jump and more a jump to another universe where it is 2026(??? or whenever the MCU is currently set).Interesting theory. I can see that happening, and justifying a time-jump.
Female Silver Surfer dies in the process because they will likely want to bring in Norrin Radd in future movies. I feel a big reason they aren't using him now is they are saving him for the sequel.
One problem with that idea is if they are Earth's only defenders, don't they leave it defenseless if they all go explore the Multi-verse?
Cannon fodder.Yep, the whole multiverse saga has been building up to some version of the Battle World story.
MY biggest concern with that though, is that the actors who are the FOX-Men are twenty years past the time they should be headlining X-Men movies, so something needs to be done about that.

Which is why The Flash series then showed Cisco charting out a map of the new reality and writing out a timeline/chronology of the new reality. Plus, certain survivors of the previous reality maintained their memories and managed through a variety of means to allow other characters to view those memories. We sort of already seen this done in the Arrowverse. After the Crisis story they found out Supergirl and Black Lightening were now part of the Arrowverse instead of being in different universes. Though their was still some alternate universes out their, I guess not as many as before.

I'll be curious if Marvel does something similar.

Oh, my sweet summer childrenWe sort of already seen this done in the Arrowverse. I'm pretty sure this will the last time we see those versions of the characters. Marvel thinks long term, and they have to know there's no way Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart will be able to keep playing these characters for another decade plus.Yep, the whole multiverse saga has been building up to some version of the Battle World story.

The last items on the MCU Wiki's timeline are The Marvels and Agatha All Along, and it has them both in 2026.Less a time jump and more a jump to another universe where it is 2026(??? or whenever the MCU is currently set).
