Gotta be good because there are no spoilers! And the damn pix here won't open at work... stupid itchy policy...

Tonight it will be revealed that Vincent is the drama teacher at the same school. He will be gnoshing on Gravy Train in the teacher's lounge when Ben bumps into him for the big reveal. Then the closing credits - LOST (Bam!)

Voted Average.

Besides some good acting by Michael Emerson and some yummy shots of Alex, there wasn't much else here.

Above Average. This show is amazing. It absolutely refuses to answer anything and it's STILL terrific. Knockout work here by Emerson and it was nice to see the return of Alex, who was looking smoking hot. Liked the end a lot too.

3.25/4

Ben's side-story definitely wins for most interesting and relevant side-story yet. I loved how it was a parallel of his actual backstory, I wish they'd done more of that. The Island story wasn't terribly plot important but still good stuff. And we finally get confirmation that Alpert was a slave on the Black Rock!

Most important revelation? Alpert hints that Dead-Jacob isn't really Jacob but more Cerebus manipulations like Christian. This means it was Cerebus who wanted Jack to destroy Jacob's Lighthouse. That makes more sense in retrospect. Though I'm disappointed if that's not really Jacob.

Most awesome cliffhanger? A fulled armed submarine surveils the beach... captained by WIDMORE! Yes! I was so annoyed how Widmore was completely dropped from the story. Finally! Will we see a hot steamy three way brawl between the good guys, Cerebus, and Widmore for control of the Island?

I'll bet you 30 silver pieces that Desmond is on that sub as well... either as a willing participant or as a prisoner. Oh crap I just remembered, "Jacob" told Hurley that someone was coming to the Island. Now we know who it is!

Thank GOD there was no demise! This show without Ben would be like a day without sunshine. Not only that, but the redemption arc has started. I expect the reprieve is only temporary though. Redeemed former evil guy will die in the end, but it better be in the last frakkin' minute.

Emerson's performace was Emmy-worthy tonight.

Also, I'm surprised that Ben survived the episode. It was a character centric episode revolving around him coming face to face with his sins, and his relevance to the storyline is waining. I thought the same thing when Ben was taken to face Cerebus last season as well.

I just noticed something:

It's 2004. Alex is applying to college and should graduate in May 2008, smack in the middle of the recession.

Good luck finding a job, Alex!

Interesting bit...Frank confirmed that he was supposed to be the pilot of Oceanic Flight 815. No shock, we already knew that. But is this the reason Greg Grunberg's pilot character was so brutally killed by Smokey? Because he wasn't supposed to be on the island? If so, does that make Frank a candidate? That would be kind of funny.

Most important revelation? Alpert hints that Dead-Jacob isn't really Jacob but more Cerebus manipulations like Christian.

I didn't get that from Richard at all.

So is everyone who was touched by Jacob invincible? Where does that leave John Locke?
