This is the episode that's supposed to be full of ANSWERS ANSWERS ANSWERS, right?
I changed my viewing perspective after last week. I expect ZERO answers until the finale (which I predict in true LOST fashion will somehow answer questions, pose new mysteries, and somehow leave it open ended). I'm merely along for the ride these days. Look for us the viewers to be bombarded with the "The time for questions are over, we really promise this time" promos.:guffaw:

I'm still suspicious about a title with the name 'Sun' in it having nothing to do about her.

What are guys bitching about answers for? We're a few eps in and we've already learned about smokie and the numbers. Those are 2 pretty big nuggets of info IMHO

No whining from me. Lost is awesome right now. I was just cracking on the promos they keep airing and I will laugh out loud when we see one again tonight. Although I am still waiting on a Vincent centric flashback episode that a really good writer could actually pull off and be all kinds of awesome.

This one was worthy of an excellent, but I went with 'above average'. We got to see the Sayid we know and love, we got some development, and the last few minutes were intense. It feels like we're moving forward. Unfortunately, something's holding me back from giving it an 'excellent'. Maybe it's the fact that there's still too much up in the air for me to feel totally satisfied.

Now what have we this week...

- What exactly happened to Sayid? We're still left with that.

- I don't like Keamy, but it was nice to see him.

- I was expecting to see Jack in the hospital.

- Sayid's creepy response to Ben was creepy. I wonder what Ben saw. I'm sure it was just Ben knowing what this was all about, and I'm sure all Sayid's reaction was, was him being tired of being jerked around, but it did look as if Sayid either knew what he was all along or something awoke in him. It was just that creepy.

- Are Dogen and Lennon really dead? Somehow, this doesn't feel like a fitting end for them, especially Dogen.

- "John Lennon" haha, I get a kick out of that by the way. The guy does remind me of John Lennon.

- Miles' blunt, to-the-point manner never gets old.

- When Locke said to Sayid that he can have anything he wants, I felt like something clicked, like there was something there about how this "two timelines" business works and how they might intersect, but I don't have anything.

Ok, that ending was weird even by LOST standards.

Another episode that didn't really grab me. Guess it's just so weird that I just can't get into it any more.

3.5/4! The sideways stories continue to be a waste of time. But the real story was great. Sayid vs Dogen! The back story of Dogen and the baseball! The biblical wrath of Cerebus! I'm guessing that Dogen will come back infected with darkness since he was drowned in the resurrection pool? I hope so I like that guy. This episode seems to make it clear and Jack *and* Hurley are the chosen ones to replace Jacob, perhaps as a hilarious two man comedy team. I would like that.

Jack did appear in the hospital, walking past them in the hallway. So I guess at this point Sayid has his 'heart infected with sickness' so it's not really him but a puppet of Cerebus and he's not responsible for his own actions. Isn't that what Dogen said would happen earlier?

The alt story is not meaningless because there's going to be a choice of which one to go with at some point, either individually or collectively... for some it's better and for some it's not.

I'll give this one an Excellent, despite not answering a single thing. That's the thing with this show. It can still beat around the bush when it comes to answering the questions but still be a damn good show.

Sayid has gone over to the dark side and it was entertaining to watch. Loved seeing the return of Keamy. Glad to see Miles didn't get killed.

Jack was walking straight toward Sayid's POV.

Apparently, everyone who gets hurt lives in a five mile radius from Jack's hospital. ;)

No he was right in the foreground. The only hint of the side-stories having a relevance was when Cerebus said to Sayid what if I could give you a life where she lived or something like that. Perhaps the side-stories are the alt-life that Cerebus is going to tempt the characters with?

Hmmm ... I like this. It brings back into focus the early series exploration of fate vs. choice. And, ultimately, if the characters "choose their fate" so-to-speak, that would be a fitting, poetic ending. I think I'll go with this theory until (if) something more compelling (or definitive) comes along.

Good idea, mate!
