Locke episode! Automatic excellent!

Based on some of the spoilers I read earlier this season before I cut myself off, this episode is guaranteed to be amazing. :D

Whoops, sorry I'm a tad late with my traditional poll thread spoiler, but better late than never...
Locke Travels back in time to stop his Brother going to Vietnam. Ben appears to him as a Hologram whilst complaining about some mysterious character named "Gushi". Hilarity ensues.

Ben: "I'm sorry, John, but according to Ziggy your job here isn't finished."
Locke: "Don't tell me when I can't leap!"

Anyone ever see that movie "Cabin Fever"?

Hopefully this episode is better than that movie.

OMG, ultra special EXTRA SPOILERS!
Bernard greets a new group of Freighter Folk onto the island. He is shocked to learn they are the "Foreign Investors."

Excellent. That episode was probably the most surreal one the show has done to date. I don't even know what to make of what I saw, so I'll let you folks have at it. What have we?

- Richard Alpert had an interest in young John I wonder why old John didn't recognise him).

- Christian is in the cabin with Claire. Is she dead? What's going on with them?

- Matthew Abaddon is back and I have no idea who he is or what he wants.

- Locke is special in some way.

Mind blowing stuff.

By the way. I hate Keamy. I mean it. I really hate him and not in that "guy you love to hate" sort of way. I hope someone kills him and soon.

Well, John was a loser all his life. No wonder he wants to stay on the island where people have respected and feared him. And he never wanted to be a man of science.

He's still a loser. He isn't his own man, he's henpecked by an island.

3.5/4 little disappointed there wasn't more Jacob revelations

Freighter Story: Aces. Tons of movement, people get killed, the plot really advanced here. Nice to see Frank do something for the time since oh the beginning of the season.

Locke's Flashbacks: very interesting portentious stuff. Though I'd say it pushes plausibility that John doesn't remember the face & name of Alpert when he made this odd momentious visit to him promising to whisk him away from his adopted home.

Locke n Cabin: I really wanted more here. We didn't even see Jacob. We didn't get any explanation of why/how Christian is there speaking for Jacob. Not cool. Also, Hurley ends up being worthless to the story. And Ben doesn't do anything either.

Move the Island eh? Cool.

Holy shit I thought the last episode answered my question of Christian being something other than a hallucination in an indirect manner. Now this one just confirmed it on a whole other level.

Claire looked a bit high in the last scene. Maybe she has been take over by the island.

Richard is definitely a time traveller of sorts.

The Island is mobile like Atlantis!

Woah. Excellent. Not quite the powerhouse that "The Shape of Things to Come" was, but still pretty damn good. I now officially have NO idea what is going on or what's gonna happen in the 3 hours left this season.

I'm disappointed in Lapidus. I was hoping he'd agree to pilot the copter, then martyr himself and fly it straight into the ocean, drowning himself and Keamy and co. along with it.

Alpert showing up at the hospital at the beginning scared the crap out of me. And his scene with Young John ("pick the things that belong to you") confused me hugely. What is their interest in him? Same with Abaddon, I hope we learn their stories by the finale.

Claire seemed very out of it at the end. Too calm. She's gotta be dead now.

Ben kinda disappointed me this week. He seemed too resigned too easily...I like to think he still has something up his sleeve and is just letting Locke run with things for now.

Was hoping for a bigger shock moment to end the episode on. "Move the island" was kinda meh.

Theories:

Keamy's Dead Man Switch is connected to a nuke missile on the Kahana. If his heartbeat stops, it launches the missile at the Island. Why a nuke? They say they're gonna burn the Island down. What kind of weaponry could they have that do it that isn't huge and obviously visible already?

Notice that Alpert was leaving the Island to recruit Locke in the 1950s/60s. Before Dharma ever came to the Island! Does this mean that the Orchid teleporter was a pre-existing "natural" ability of the Island before they built the station?

WHAT?!?! :wtf:

Can you say that again?!

Move the Island?!?!

Godsdamn, I love this fucking show!!

Now that I've gotten that out of my system...

Claire is chilling with her "father" at Jacob's place, but Christian is NOT Jacob. So where the hell is he? And why did Aaron need to be away from Claire if he isn't suppose to be raised by another?

Who is the hell is Michael Abbadon and who does he work for? First we see him trying to get information out of Hurley, then we see him instruct Naomi of her true mission, and now we see that it was his idea for John to go on his walkabout! DHARAM, The Island, or something completely different?

Keamy is one fucked up individual. "Sorry, Doc." *slits throat* :wtf:  Please tell me he dies a horrible death soon.

With the Captain dead and the mercenaries gone, Desmond and Michael can take over the freighter...right?

Finally, I think we've finally learned why there are only six survivors: That's all who could fit on the motorboat.

Oh, and the selecting of objects by a child is what they do to pick the new Dali Lama I believe. They are objects that belonged to the previous now dead one, and the child is the reincarnation of his spirit and would recognize "his" objects.

I'm guessing that it's Jacob's objects (Jacob being on the Black Rock in the 1800s), and the chosen leader (Ben, Locke) is supposed to be the reincarnation of Jacob.
