Klingon Translation?

So, I don't mean to be that guy, but, am I the only one that doesn't have translations for their Klingon in everything past episode 2? And the subtitles I downloaded don't provide a translation either. Any suggestions?

And, yes, I'm using a source aside from Amazon or Netflix. No subtitles provided. Thanks for all your answers and time in advance guys.

It'll be because the subtitles aren't hard coded into the MKV you're watching. Download that episode's subtitles SRT file and it'll have the Klingon bit. You'll need it because the Klingons don't speak English to each other and there are entire scenes full of Klingon.

I thought that might be the culprit. Thanks for the timely reply.

On another note, my subtitle source doesn't seem to have the Klingon subtitles included. Any sauces?

Wait, who's begging? I call what I'm doing politely asking. But I knew I'd get some high-and-mighty, self-righteous, condescending replies.

Let me tell you something, you don't know me. I do apologize for not having a secure financial situation. One so that I can allot expenditures for things I enjoy. But I'm pretty sure they'll forgive me after a few decades of spending countless dollars on the franchise, if I don't sign-up for one service I won't ever use for anything else ever again.

So you can either be a fellow fan and say either, "Sorry man, it'd be easier with the normal service to see what they're saying because subtitles are included. But good-luck with your endeavors. Enjoy the show!" or, "Brah, got you right here...[link]."

...or you can return with a condescending, snarky remark and pretend that you're better than me. What's it going to be?

And in no way do I advocate piracy of any sort. If you love something enough to watch it and enjoy it, always support the official source and release.

Which is what I will eventually do when I buy this on Blu-ray.

You might want to look up the definition of beg.

Let me tell you something, you don't know me.
Correct.
And in no way do I advocate piracy of any sort.
Yes you do. You both partake in it, and make it clear to others that you do.
Which is what I will eventually do when I buy this on Blu-ray.
Which only means something if that's the first time you watch it.
I do apologize for not having a secure financial situation. One so that I can allot expenditures for things I enjoy.
I also really want a lot of things that I can't afford.

Whether or not I agree with your stance on illegally downloading the show, the forum does not allow for discussion about circumventing the law.

So you choose the low road? Unfortunate.

You might want to look up the definition of beg.
No need. My first post was a polite question, followed up by a recommendation, politely asking as I phrased it, for a source to something. It is neither something I vitally required nor something that you, or this site, alone hold. There is more sauce on the Internet.

Yes you do. You both partake in it, and make it clear to others that you do.
I partake in third-party downloads, I never denied this. However...

Which only means something if that's the first time you watch it.
...pft! Excuse me...this, clearly exhibits you don't understand how economics and trade work. A different discussion for a different time.

Whether or not I agree with your stance on illegally downloading the show, the forum does not allow for discussion about circumventing the law.
Agreeing implies diffence in opinion. And all I have are facts. I'm not trying to fond loopholes in any law. I'm not asking how to download the show.

Last I checked, downloading subtitles, at least where I am, is legal. I realize in places like the United Kingdom, that has become an illegal production.

Seriously brother, just walk away. You're hurting yourself. Don't be antagonistic for the sake of being antagonistic. That makes you the antagonist.

So you choose the low road? Unfortunate.
I never insulted you, whereas you called me high-and-mighty, self-righteous, and condescending. (All may well be true, I admit.)

No need. My first post was a polite question, followed up by a recommendation, politely asking as I phrased it, for a source to something. It is neither something I vitally required nor something that you, or this site, alone hold.
What I mean is, to beg is to "ask someone earnestly or humbly for something." Which is what you did. You chose to take it as an insult.

I partake in third-party downloads, I never denied this.
Except when you said "in no way do I advocate piracy of any sort."

I'm not trying to fond loopholes in any law. I'm not asking how to download the show. Last I checked, downloading subtitles, at least where I am, is legal. I realize in places like the United Kingdom, that has become an illegal production.
The board doesn't allow discussion of it. Do it or don't do it, it doesn't change my life one bit. But we're aren't allowed to discuss it here.

You're hurting yourself.
In what way? Have I lowered your opinion of me? Have I lost the respect of my many friends on this board?

Forum rules specifically outlaw discussion of piracy, I believe. So, keep digging.
So, wait.

You guys are saying, because I capped those off my Netflix account, and feed subtitles with it, is piracy?

I think you guys need to take some economic and government lectures before you decide to ban me or warn me for anything.

I never insulted you, whereas you called me high-and-mighty, self-righteous, and condescending. (All may well be true, I admit.)
read again. I said that about your comment. Like you of me, I know nothing about you.

What I mean is, to beg is to "ask someone earnestly or humbly for something." Which is what you did. You chose to take it as an insult.
I mean, I would never describe myself as earnestly or humbly asking for anything. That's all I'm saying. Not really insulted by it just curious by your word choice.

Except when you said "in no way do I advocate piracy of any sort."
I refer to my previous comment.

The board doesn't allow discussion of it. Do it or don't do it, it doesn't change my life one bit. But we're aren't allowed to discuss it here.
Again, in line with my previous comment, where do the rule say it is illegal to talk about downloading subtitles? I think this miscommunication is the stem of our problems.

In what way? Have I lowered your opinion of me? Have I lost the respect of my many friends on this board?
Okay. This.

I mean... it is called a community for a reason, but, I agree with your logic.

So, wait.

You guys are saying, because I capped those off my Netflix account, and feed subtitles with it, is piracy?

Did you pay for it or not? If you did, the subtitles come with the package, so I don't understand the problem.

I think you guys need to take some economic and government lectures before you decide to ban me or warn me for anything.

And you should realize that an internet forum is not a democracy, nor is free speech protected.

Haha, yes Tosk. Last I checked, Netflix doesn't let you download. I had to use a third-party application for that. :-)

Then why this?

I do apologize for not having a secure financial situation. One so that I can allot expenditures for things I enjoy. But I'm pretty sure they'll forgive me after a few decades of spending countless dollars on the franchise, if I don't sign-up for one service I won't ever use for anything else ever again.
It sure sounds like a backpedal. Someone who paid for the show would have just said so.

By the way, Netflix does let you download many shows onto your chosen device. I believe DSC is one of them, but I am not 100% without checking.

Hm, it appears I can't make discussions yet. Oh well.

And you should realize that an internet forum is not a democracy, nor is free speech protected.
By the board rules? You're absolutely right, which is why I ask you to reconsider what you guys defined as piracy, and refrain from taking any action.

By law? It's a little wonky, but for the most part, we are protected.

Guys, I just didn't want things to get personal? I was trying to just be as simple as I could with my request. I don't mean to be snarky, but, I didn't realize I had to include a life backstory with that.

By the way, Netflix does let you download many shows onto your chosen device. I believe DSC is one of them, but I am not 100% without checking
Oh really?! That would solve a lot of my problems. I didn't know you can do that. How? Nevermind I'll Google it.
