So how many brothers and sisters did Kirk have anyway from the old Star Trek novels?

Plus wasnt there a novel or two where it involved an ex wife also?

Kirk's only sibling was his brother Sam, established in "Operation -- Annihilate!" The only work that's ever asserted any other siblings, as far as I know, was William Rotsler's Star Trek II Biographies, which postulated a sister named Michele Suzanne Kirk, but didn't reveal anything about her beyond her name.

Plus wasnt there a novel or two where it involved an ex wife also?

Gene Roddenberry's Star Trek: The Motion Picture novelization established that Kirk had had a one-year marriage contract with Vice Admiral Lori Ciana during his tenure as Chief of Starfleet Operations. I referenced that backstory in Ex Machina. The later novels by William Shatner with Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens gave him a wife named Teilani.

Isn't the one year contract with Lori Ciana and the aftermath of it ending briefly covered in one of The Lost Years book? A Flag Full of Stars or Traitor Winds?

There were stories on his nephew doing various things.
Kirk had a whole menagerie of past women in his life.

His nephew Peter has featured in a few books, notably Gemini and Sarek. A line in What Are Little Girls Made Of says he had two other nephews who didn’t appear with the family in Operation: Annihilate (though O:A also calls Peter Kirk’s only surviving family) and The Last Round Up names them Alexander and Julius (and other non-novels have gone with other names). All sources have indicated that these are all Sam and Aurelian’s children, as opposed to children from other siblings.

Kirk's unnamed nephews have been given a lot of different names in various non-canon stories:

James T. Kirk’s other two nephews
Alexander Kirk and Julius Kirk
* The Last Roundup
* Provenance Of Shadows

Brett Kirk and Robbie Kirk
* Star-Crossed Part 2: Loved Not Wisely…
George Kirk and Gregory Kirk
* New Visions: Sam
Joshua Kirk and Steven Kirk
* The Autobiography Of James T. Kirk
Marcus Kirk and Virgil Kirk
* Bloodline
Stephen Kirk and Thomas Kirk
* Starship Creator
* Starship Creator Warp II

Craig Kirk
* Star Trek: Away Team

Man...Sam and Aurelian were real rabbits. :cool:

Shatner's Star Trek Academy: Collision Course gives his father's name as George Joseph Kirk.

One other old novel, I forget which, has his father mentioned as a politician in Iowa and a member of the Keep Earth Human League.
Alexander Kirk and Julius Kirk
* The Last Roundup
Where one of them
Was involved in the Orion Syndicate.
